define a "hillbilly grunt"

I always thought a "hillbilly" was sum1 that lived in the wilderness of usa on the mountain ranges.

1. I dont live in the usa
2. I dont live in the wilderness.
3. I dont live on a mountain

Now as for "grunts", well, 3 of my mates are in the army. The rest arent. And a grunt is a derogatary term for somebody in the army, implying that they are stupid. So the grunt bit would only apply to 3 of my mates, and tbh, i would say they are probably more intelligent than you anyway.

The man being quoted is US Brig. General William Looney, a director of the Iraq operations between the wars:

"If they turn on their radars we're going to blow up their goddam SAMs. They know we own their country. We own their airspace... We dictate the way they live and talk. And that's what's great about America right now. It's a good thing, especially when there's a lot of oil out there we need".

The quote comes from the Washington Post, August 30, 1999, p3.

just to put in context, i am quoting the dierctor of the Iraq operation between the war

and on the subject of the Sun, here's a lovely quote from them, 17th November, 1989

'At last the truth can be told. The killer disease AIDS can only be caught by homosexuals, bisexuals, junkies or anyone who has recieved a tainted blood transfusion. FORGET the television adverts, FORGET the poster campaigns, forget the endless boring television documentaries and forget the idea that ordinary, heterosexual people can catch AIDS. They can't. The risk of catching AIDS if you are heterosexual is 'statistically invisible', in other words, impossible. So now we know - anything else is just homosexual propoganda. And should be treated as such.'

[AIDS - The facts not the fiction, The Sun, 17 Nov 1989]

a balanced, concise, well reasoned truthful arguement...

or not

Seems like our little country isn't just America's 'bitch' as some like to say, but a dumping ground for their toxic waste too. Read something highly disturbing about them bringing 13 warships full of toxic waste to Teesside to be buried there. Ahh the things Tony Blair does not tell us. Hundreds of tons of barrels which can be smashed open with a hammer containing cancer-causing agents being buried in our soil...

Don't they have enough land to bury it on their turf?

Oh and it also says 80 more may follow... No, not barrels. 80 more warships.

Teeside and the north east is full of shit anyway, ie the people that live there so 13 warships full of waste aint gonna make it any worse

Well, I don't care where they are dumping it. I just don't like the idea of our country being used as a toxic waste dump... Especially when it is coming from those stupid assholes across the atlantic with a big enough country to fit the whole worlds toxic waste in their soil with no trouble.
