I would strongly reccomend at least 16 stealth. Once you drop below that you loose detect hidden and your visiblity goes up massively. Believe me with that spec you posted your debuff and high poison would be irrelevant as I'd be able to see you coming a mile off. Generally in assassin fights if you get perfed you're toast. Additionally if you have no detect hidden you can say goodbye to ever detecting other assassins.

I can 1-2 shot poorly equipped SBs, even some of the better ones only last 3 or 4 if I land perf on them. Doesn't matter how good your poison is if you're dead after one tick.

pfff now i almost have to prove u guys wrong and ive tried almost all SB specs possible...so would be a challenge with this one (mebbe too big )...and as far as reactions are concerned, i rarely get PA'd BS2'd by infils/NS and ive always used 18+5 stealth (Dracun had 19+5 tho)... who knows...it might blow big time and illl roll a BD to slay u all FOTM4tehwin!!!!111

I dont get it bigblue, so I need to put 1 point in stealth and then /level 20, and respec stealth after? I dont think I will gain any points from autotrain with that cause autotrain doesnt work with /leveled chars (or am I wrong?). And the gear Im wearing (apart from armor/weapons) is high lvl jewelry/bracer/rings/cloak/neckie (lvl 38-41) and its degreding so fast, its not funny (they are at around 60% dur now, but thats with some pve'ing also...). So I think my sc'ed equipment will be useless after 2 more infils...

All you do is when you /level and go see the infiltrator trainer put 1 point into stealth, then keep pressing on the trainer till you get to level 20. At this point /respec stealth on trainer and it puts your stealth without speccing any points onto 5. Not as much as leveling all the way, but hell even powerlving that far is a cpl hours of time.

It does work, do it with my pala all the time :>

BTW if none of that makes sense to you, it's probably my inability to explain even the eimplest of tasks

I guess its a bug then, well it doesnt make that much difference cause I would end up having 6 points in stealth auto-trained, now I will have 5 instead...So that gives me 5+4+3+2 extra points = 14...Need to try out if I can end up having the template I wanted Maybe you will see my new infil Kimmieee tonight in the bg's Watch out for her

The str/con debuff does cancel out the PAs at lvl 50 to some degree cos then the STR/Con debuff is a lot greater, but tbh I am not sure about at bgs level, the PA might be a fair bit more than 55 con/str debuff, I know with my 50 inf and a PA cap of 777(if memory serves) then yea it pretty much cancels it out cos I only hit for 400-500 on a pa mostly.

Worth getting the str con tho especialy against slash infs 55 str is a fair bit, cancels the buffs \o/

STR/CON debuff is great tho for stealther battles at 50 cos u can litteraly just garrote swing and then wait for DF <J/K>

I think you can, i think a common inf spec for bgs used to be 20+5env for lvl22str/con debuff and lvl25dot

Using the 55 str/con debuff I was seeing around 40-50 hp debuff effect in the BGs, it's not that good for the con part, given my average PA is in the 200-400 range (depending on target). It's great for lowering a buffed opponents strength though.

In fact to cancel out even a 200 hp PA you'd need to debuff con by around 115 (you get 1.728 hp per con point at level 24 as a rogue/hybrid), which isn't going to happen in Thid.

It's an interesting spec, with the high melee and high envenom you might pull it off just through being able to have a decent dot ticking.

BTW, the /level autotrain thing only gives 12 free points - you spend 2 to get 2 stealth then respec which sets it to 5, but those 2 are not refunded, so you only get 3+4+5 free, which is 12.

Hmm might try a 24+5 env, 19+5 slash, 10+5 CS, 19+5 stealth inf, be different at least, though I'd miss not having hamstring or garotte I think. Hmm maybe 19+5 stealth, 18+5 CS, 17+5 slash, 20+5 envenom. High dot, str/con debuff, hamstring and garotte, BS2+TC, reasonable melee and good stealth. Mmm.

About the 'being able to use Envenom above your level' issue - you can.

I've had 20(+5) Envenom a noumerous (sp?) of times and it works, though don't forget about putting the envenom on your Armor, and no on your Swords/Axes

What i sometimes did, and what you should really try to get your hands on, is +5 envenom boots/gloves and just swap them to add poisons and then put back on other boots with better stats as +Envenom has no effect besides putting poison on 'em.

And about your new spec, with a little more Stealth and less Critical Strike.. I don't know how it is these days but i think you should be able to take down most casters/archers(?) with Backstab I ( Using the Mourning Axe thingy ). Or just get yourself a Masterpiece Two Handed Axe/Sword.

P.s. You said something about not having to worry about being Perfed nor Backstabbed by enemy Assasins.. They just have to wait till you are well positioned and you are utterly f**ked. I think 16 could be enough though i won't garantee you on if it will work.

I hope it does though, as you were always a tough Shadowblade in Thidranki back in the old days!

Though i would like to know from you how much damage-output the difference of a Garrote will be with having 18, instead of 21, Critical Strike.

And i don't think the -16 Str/Con more will make much of a difference.

18 vs 21 cs will make some difference, but no garotte would be ick given how crap the low level slash anytimes are. The 20+5 envenom spec looks best anyway, gets the highest dot with wasting points for the highest enervating.

I believe you and therefor i think that spec you are thinking off will be perfect for an inf.

With that spec you can choose and stand your ground ina 1 vs 1 or just garrote and run off, restealth and get the silly bastard while he is down at 50% because of this DoT.

I'm thinking of rolling a Minstrel soon ( Leveling up with a Friend ) so i might catch you in Thid. Or i could be your personal Rezz-bot with Zonder in a week or two. The 20th of October i will get a week off so will be able to level up my Cleric a fair bit.

Um, +200 hp at 50? That's wildly overstated. The typical bonus for a buffed SB is closer to 90 hp, less if the SB is unbuffed.

21 Rejuv ( Will have the ability to heal quite a bit and be able to use two insta's )
11 Ench ( Will get the first line of buffs )

...or

14 Rejuv ( Reasonable healing - One insta )
11 Ench ( Enough for thid, not being a buffwhore )
15 Smite ( Being able to save my group with the PB-AE Mezz - Being able to interrupt casters with my DD's )

Cleric spec for bgs

23rejuv rest smite gives you a grp insta and a pbae mez if your desperate.

I'm gonna be taking a cleric there soon and I think I'm gonna go full rejuv. Logic being: -
gonna be in fair size grp with a sorc, no need for pbae mezz.
everyone has buffbots, so cba with enhance.
50% rez is cool. Been on the receiving end of one recently with my bgs sorc, had enough power after rez to lifetap my way back to full health.

I know 15 rejuv gives a first spec heal of 170, which is a fair bit.

My advice would be know what you want to do before you spec. If you trust the people fighting around you then you probs don't need smite.

Honed

Honed was very similar to the spec you mentioned. He had 25 in envenom and 19 in sword (could well have been 18). But then infs were very rarely fully buffed. Infact i went to a doctor afterwards to work through the fact i killed so many of them so quickly (hehe - yeah sure). But - and it is a big BUT - the ones that had access to buffs/potions - transformed themselves. What Honed used to do was swing the one handed sword for pillager and swap for a 2 handed one for follow up (end lasts ages then). Nice damage and really high poison ontop - job done. But a buffed slash inf can hit you so hard so often that they outdo your damage (eh, he who hits hardest and hurts most wins!)

Dracus - keep trying m8 - am all forrit.

(Wtfla killed loads of infs - buffed or otherwise - so tis possible)

Heh I know where you're coming from with that. Was not really paying attention earlier when a SB popped in stealth in front of me, I hit /stick and garotte and killed him in two hits. Poor fellow was named Doom, that's easily the fastest fight I've had without using any from stealth styles.
