Was a nice fight, I saw you and went for stick but you hit me before I could get you. Your 2h is about the same damage as my PA sword btw, but that's a 4.1 speed bastard sword.
I've left a fair few fights today, I try to only add if the alb in question needs help.

Nothing above 20 and below 24 in the cleric line that useful for infs (except a base con and I can cope without), so I didn't bother levelling it.

I was using a lvl 21 cleric with 20 enhanc too but today I lvled her to 24 \0/

What you get at 20-24:

1. Higher base con
2. Higher AF buff
3. Value 5 health regen instead of Value 3 (that makes health regen pots useless)

Well I saw your name a few times in killspams but actually I dont think I met you too...Shame firuze has capped yesterday but I will be back with another inf pretty soon

My infil bg sc suit has capped stats, capped skills, 16% slash/14% thrust/14% crush and magical resists varying from 7 till 11% (body 11% unimportant resists like spirit etc. 7%). Heat is capped too

I imagine a sb/ns missing pa on a buffed sc'ed armsman/pally would result in a different outcome, considering my armour is neutral to your attack? and my crush has bonus against yours..... Anyways no more crying from me, was a fun fight, I had to leg it from your inf mate who tried to finish me off hehe

Actually you get bonus on me and I get penalty on you, slash on chain makes for gimp damage. Plus I'm only 202 hp below you - 686 on my inf. The thing people forget when considering infs is just how powerful poisons are. I landed both str debuff and disease on you which lowers your damage somewhat. Might go slightly higher envenom on my next inf for the first str/con debuff.

There's no doubt about it, infs are a very powerful class at thid level.

I had some good 1v1s with a few NS' last nite was uber...altho they go down a bit faster than most infils but i think infil armor is better Vs slash...if memory serves...

All alb armour is slash neutral. From memory hib leather is actually strong to slash. On the other hand nightshades tend to have less hp than infs and SBs due to lower con races (luri/elf are 40 con compared to 50 for saracen, 60 for briton/kobbie and 70 for norse).
One thing to consider is that a buffed inf has significantly higher AF than a shade or SB due to having spec AF buffs available.

I am gonna try to autotrain my infi and get envenom to 17+5 for first stre/con debuff, gonna lower thrust slightly a bit (think from 18+5 to 16+5, wont make much difference)

Think that will be really uber actually, gonna try that out in a few days

My first thid inf was 17+5 envenom, it wasn't that effective, but with a lot more people running buffed now I think it could be worth it. Since /level came in I switched from snare to debuff on my fighting sword because buffs are so prevalent (also garotte's snare got fixed).

From my experience with having low stealth i recomment you not to spec it to 13 only. Without having the 'must have', 'Detect Hidden/See Hidden' ( always mix those two up ) you will get perfed so easily, or unstealth by a non-stealth class and then you won't stand a chance anymore.

Even though your Envenom will be very high ( 29 ) Infiltrators and Nightshades will get you down to lets say 60% with PA + you will be debuffed and have the chance of being poisoned or snared ( depends on the enemy ).

Then, even with that high Envenom, you will most of the time eat dirt. If you really want something different from your previous spec's i'd assume you lesser your Envenom skill and get a little more into Stealth.

This is how i used to spec Nightshades ( for example, they have the same spec points ) knowing about the fact that they have less base Str/Con and there for less chance of surviving an enemy Assasin.

*This is with auto-training Stealth*
Stealth: 19
Blades ( Sword/Axe ): 18
Celtic Dual ( LA ? ) : 4 ( Left overs )
Critical Strike : 10 ( It gives you the nice 3c Stun Style, Backstab II )
Envenom : 20 ( With items it will give you the 25th level poison and the Str/Con debuff )

I think this would be the ideal way of beating infs as with Backstab II, or a Sword/Axe-skill style, you can get the enemy down to atleast 50% ( When using a Two-Handed Weapon it might be even more. This is with using the 25th level poison )

Then you might consider starting off with two weapons and use a 'LA'-style, so you can get a snare off incase you can't run off and restealth. I'd prefer a Two-Handed Weapon + Poison as when i attacked an enemy stealther for example i used to have enough time to restealth ( while running off after my attack ) and try attack him again.

With the 'DoT' running the enemy isn't able to restealth and if you think you can get the kill without running away i would go for it and try to take him down fast, but sometimes the zerg keeps you from doing this though.



P.s. This was all before Thidranki was full of 'Buffbots' so maybe some things aren't the way they were anymore.

I hope this helps a little, i'll browse this forum some more in case you'd like some more advice.

Oh, i just looked at the Speclines of a Shadowblade, and Wether you choose Axe or Sword they have some nice styles in it.

Evernight is a very nice one, might the victim try to run. Though that is the only style that sounds good as for Axe.
And in the Swordline you have Assault -> Baldur's Fury and maybe Northern Lights -> Aurora though maybe that would be a style to begin with in some fights ( Hard to pull off though ).

It was so much easier when 'LA' wasn't nerfed.

i know 13 is low...but u do know that 4 below what others have doesnt matter much if u just keep movin )) the stealth bubble is a 3 sec pulse...so if i just move it shudnt be a BIG issue...but i know it might be hard

Skills

High envenom is great. Have tried it and it is very succesful - but has a price to pay. You can't have high damage and high envenom - one or the other. There is a way to get a fair bit of both (Useless) but am not going into that. Bear in mind though that envenom takes a while to kill. A good inf - like Danyan and Firuse - eh Aoln's alts (can't remember names), Sivestra (stab at name) - Grimly - Ivy? - mostly all good slash infs - will kill you so fast the poison will not mean much. Once poison has acted though you gotta get some damage done or you cooked. Also if another jumps you - as they do - then you are in big trouble - unless you start swapping fresh weapons out of you bag which is not so easy to do in the heat of battle (though can be done with practise).

25 envenom will kill most luris if you just nick them and they run off so bear this in mind when yu face them.

Low stealth? - mmm - sure thing if you are full la before nerf - now eh - not for me thanks. Ok infs get spoilt something rotten but underneath all that are some exceptionally good players - and low stealth against them is in my opinion suicidal unless you are so fast in your reactions that you can deal with it. I for one don't enter Thid unless i got 24 in stealth full stop!

Well there are a few pennies worth of my opinion - hehe - for wot it is worth.

Keep having fun lads/lasses. Hey and don't forget about the other non stealth classes - some great players about for sure.

At the moment Im working on my high envenom infil named Kimmieee, she's lvl 5 atm but lvling up shouldnt be a big problem with a necro I can acces to on 2nd account (tho he's just lvl 25 but nm )

Gonna autotrain stealth and I end up with this template

Thrust 16+5
Crit Strike 21+5
Stealth 19+5
Envenom 17+5
Dual Wield 5+5

for the 1st stre/con debuff

(just swapping 2 points in thrust for 2 points of envenom, compared to my template on firuze)

To save leveling all the way, you could just put 1point into stealth at lvl 5 then /respec stealth at level 20, sure you dont get the same amount of auto train but get aboyt 16points free I think(it's what I do with my paly only in chants).

On topic I used to reroll the inf you are doing TheGreatest, but slash instead of thrust, for the damage to SBs ofc, but mostly cos axes4tehwinzzz!111 :>(pre scing and pre LAnurf)

Anyway all stealthers in thid are overpowered but that spec is just ridiculos, back then had to get all items such as virilent fishing hook, macabre medalion to make decent stats and skills \o/.
