Eve came out in 2003 so it's only 2 years newer than DAoC.

Eve is also extremely unique and well run.

DAoC was never well run.

Daoc's main problem atm imo is that the dev's no longer give a shit so the population has become so bored they just play like asshats and their is no community , and for me atm that doesn't appeal much

It showed signs when they did those dev events, no idea what has happened to those and what has happened to the regular patches either.
