Guys, not often i do anthing for any of you as you are tbh, all beneath me but if you wish to rvr i can only state how important voice comms is.

Download Ventrilomix from the link below - its only a few MB but having it will allow you to get more groups in rvr. Specifically im aware of 3-4 groups who will not group u if u DONT have it.

You dont have to have a mic - but it is preferable, you do ofc need sound. I heartily recomend a head set - these can be found as cheap as £5.

Ventrilo Mix has 3 versions of Ventrilo (2.1, 2.2 & 2.3) and it also has a copy of TS2 (Teamspeak 2). All groups ive ever been in will be running one of these versions/type fo voice comms. once you get used to it u will love it

Dirty jokes are easier to tell and pretending your a loud, rude, man when in fact your a small breasted woman is more of a challenge but not impossible

(No guarentees of course but it'll certainly help).

Tbh theres not much point joining an RvR group unless they have voice these days. I suppose if you had like 20 macros with certain messages on them it might be possible to play some roles but thats just silly.

i agree with this msg, you would need a server... and i doubt most people own one... and running one locally may slow your internet

Guess i mis read the original message, yeah having your own server would help start a PUG rvr team...you can be cheap like Ging and get a free teamspeak server with crap quality or buy a vent server, they're not expensive and that way you dont host on your machine iirc (been awhile since i paid for my own server tbh).

to answer your question most groups will stick to one person so if someone says inc left its inc left for the whole group.

im pretty specific of my requirements for group members - the reason for this is i rely on them, their skillz, their templates for mine and the groups survival.

u can call me elitist if you wish but i do require somone to be lvl 50, if possible to have a resonable template (good resists) and voice comms.

I make my groups in rvr for specific senarios, if i make a grp for tower huumping i will pick classes i think will be good at that and benefit the group, if i make a group for bridge camping, then again ill make a different grp, if i make a grp for fg vs fg rvr then again the grp will require different classes. Having voice comms is a must for me in ALL senarios - i even use it for pve - mostly just to chat with


Having played for years w/o voice comms i know the benefits it brings.

mainly in rvr group matter specced sorcs are not required because from my pov the group needs albions main CC class to do exactly that. If they are specced full matter they will be inefective at mezz/cc'ing the enemy.

i am ofc using a sorc as a an example. Im sure there are many, many matter specced sorcs around - i jsut dont have any use for their particular skillsets in rvr.

If a person require an ra respec for a perticular event/grp im forming and they are the only option im happy to give them two ra stones so they can spec for the grp then respec back afterwards.
