Well, Steam VR is still beta - definitely shows. Can't get the tutorial to work, but thankfully youtube.

Audioshield is fun after 4-5 songs I was getting a bit of a sweat on, so took a break. Kinda entertaining, but not something I could see doing more than to demo for other people, or a little chilled out physical activity+music.
The Cubicle is an awesome little experience. Made me feel a bit trippy.
Holopoint - jfc - this is AMAZING FUN. especially for something so basic. Also people are gonna sweat buckets, this shit is intense.
Space pirate trainer - the feel you get while shooting is great, was prob the least fun of all the stuff I tried so far, but still pretty good. Really cool rumble feedback when your shooting.

@Scouse No. I've heard good things about it, but I'm more interested in roomscale games this weekend.

Damnnnnnnn Xortex is so much fun. Basically a 3d bullet hell game - which I typically find boring, but this is so good.

Another solid day in the vive, damn I feel bad for oculus purchasers.
Roomscale is SO GOOD.
It really is "holodeck in your house".

The most frustrating aspect I suppose is the cable. A permanent reminder you need to pay attention to ( ordered some karabiners to keep them a bit away from my feet some more ).
Holopoint BEST GAME still.

The two big downsides to VR right now are:

Cables.
Resolution.

I feel like resolution doesn't matter that much because the experiences are so much fun - but they'll be incredible in a few years.
Cables - I dunno :/ Wireless display technology all sucks, can't handle 30fps over widi, let alone 90.

Spent some more time today, demoing for a few people.

Quite a few tried standing on an object, or leaning on a desk etc. Was pretty fun all round.

Tried cloudlands mini golf - kinda fun.
Vanishing Realms - Kind of like this a lot, except for the combat.

Holopoint still the most fun thing I've played ( and the most physical ).

Job Simulator is just youtube bait, I might refund it, cuz it's a bit wank. If you watch it on youtube you'd get all the jokes and there's no fun in the mechanics and no replayability. ( or I would if it wasn't a free game w/ the vive atm ).

Can you run the cables up a wall so they dangle from ceiling?

Yes but there are some big downsides with it - they can obfuscate tracking.

Won my first hover junkers game! ( the only competitive online game for vive atm ). That might actually be a lot of fun.
