Vista (yeah, again) and Wireless

Just about ready to make a permanent switch to Vista as my primary OS, however there's one last little niggle I can't seem to quite put my finger on.
It won't connect to my wireless access point automatically. It's set up to do so, but just doesn't. Works fine once I connect manually, but after a disconnection or a computer restart, nada - won't automatically connect whatsoever.

Have tried using just the drivers with WZC and also using Netgears software but no joy with either.
Anyone else had this, or know how to sort it? Cheers

Problem solved, ditched the Netgear drivers and replaced them with the generic chipset drivers from Atheros, seems to work a treat

Lost the site after clearing history but google for atheros ar5004g and you'll find them soon enough. I think Driverguide has the same version I downloaded. (mine is the Netgear WG311T)

Apparently quite a few PCI wireless cards using these drivers including Netgear, Cisco and D-Link.

No, that's using a Broadcom chipset, having a quick flick around Google.
But again, theres lots of hardware using the same chipset and Broadcom also have some generics on their site.
Apparently called the "Broadcom Intensi-Fi" chipset. Cheesy name...

I think the solution is to disable power saving in the device properties, I've got a new laptop with Vista which loses connection after coming out of hibernation, this seems to have done the trick.

It may be the new drivers dont have the same power saving, and that's why it works.
