That's the idea of the class design, get power via melee. On a full power bar you can spam claw till there's no tomorrow. However beating down greys or any type of mobs in the frontiers, it's not really my idea of gameplay. I only powerdrain when I'm below 14% for any reason. And power goes down very fast when you're out of combat so it's not even a sustainable benefit. It defo causes problems on pvp servers tho.

Worst thing on PvP servers throwing the balance, beside the obvious advantage of buffs, is the fact you can easily keep yourselves in combat on a PvP-server. Alot of fights are in PvP-zones, where you can just keep a greycon mob on your ass. Greycon mob trying to hit you = in combat = no powerloss. Lots of tossers use that for example on Camlann.

I was recording a video when I was in PG, but it kinda got shelved due to inactivity. Seeing your video motivated me to have a look at what I did have captured for the first time in a month or so and dear god banespike is nasty ><

The best footage I have is from bard + vamp duos, fights vs reavers and some 8v8. The (loads of) fights vs stealthers I recorded are boring to watch since they're very once sided when I get the jump.

I got ml10 something like 2 hours before rr7 and it is bad (OP to the very essence i'd say).

Poc fights were just to show that fighting multiple enemies is not that hard if you use the right tools and know who and when to target; btw, I was ganged by the 1st group before that fight so was kind of a pay-out, in the 2nd one I wanted a duel with the mincer, only to end up mezzed after he finished off the mob, there are many things in a vid you don't get to see (i.e. you really expected me to be mezzed before that fight? )

8v8 is hard to find as I mostly will bard for CF and at the same time fraps fucks up voicecom, so I tend to avoid it on those occassions. The 3rd vid will most likely be me impersonating other classes (caster, tank, stealther). I have the director's idea in mind, just need the footage now and it will be up close to rr8 as it fits nicely with the other ones

edit: I also believe that playing a vamp in pvp or classic servers = no challenge. I also advocate that all classes should get vamp rising stats so at least I know all my opponents are buffed.

The fights you'll see are full of mistakes which I do shitloads but I manage to win as the people I fight just make more.

You don't have to make mistakes to lose against vamp. Usually, no matter what you do, you'll end up slaughtered unless vamp realises how op he is and doesn't use all he has. But i guess we all know that.

I have to say, thats a crackin movie mate
But from exerience with my Scout, ive only been killed once by a Vamp!
Thing is all the ones ive killed have been a walk over... bar one!!
Cant remember his name but i started shooting him then within 15 seconds i was dead lol.
I now think twice about fighting Vamps but it was an eye opener
