You may be interested to hear that this sounds exactly like what remoaners did after the brexit vote

Which elected official did that then? Please name names. Oh, y'can't because they didn't. There was an attempted court case to overturn the vote, but that was a bunch of Brits living in Europe who didn't contest the vote count, but the validity of Vote Leave's promises and claims (which were of course lying lies but caveat emptor etc.) The court case went nowhere (in the UK only a Judicial review can overturn a vote and there's a hard six week after vote deadline to do so).

Members of the public taking a court case is nothing like the incumbent President of the United States asking other elected officials to "find" votes.

Find votes or..set up a team of lawyers to unearth obscure laws and use them outside of the context of their intention to thwart a democratic result.

Sounds like the same cuntiness to me.

So not asking an official to 'find votes' then? There is a vast difference between ensuring something is legal vs asking someone to do something illegal.

For fucks sake.

No, that is a random guy admitting to it, not vote remain saying they lost due to voter fraud.

Come on, you said they did, surely you can give us a simple source?

You asked for a single instance.

And cos Im bored with it...I didnt say that, I merely stated it sounded like.
It would be a bit of a stretch even for me to claim it was the exact same thing.

The votes still to be counted are generally heavily democratic. Some have called it for the Dems. They hold the Senate and House.

Won't matter, Georgia has one of the most reliable counting systems. It is over for the GOP and tRump. Time for the blame game and infighting to commence.

Decision desk just called it for Ossof so a 50/50 split in Senate with Harris as tie breaker

Interesting!

Do the Dems go more right to get some GOP senate votes or do they secure Bernie by going more left?!
They could pick up Romney on some things. Will be a tough balancing act. The new Senate Majority Leader (whoever that is) will have to be quite clever.

Are you sure? Wasn't Romney's defiance down to Trump?

Yes, but he's always been more moderate and now that 60% of the GOP hates him he won't worry about voting with Dems on anti-corruption stuff or anti-Putin stuff where the Trumpists would be reluctant.

Although he is still a Republican. He'll be a deficit hawk again once there is a Democratic president. That's just expected :)

I dunno, I think most of the GOP would support such measures to avoid getting a Trump 2.0.

I think there is more rot than that. Many would be hoping for some rubles in 2022.

/edit: And firming up election processes like having state electors who could theoretically go against the vote on the basis that it must be corrupt. The GOP is getting used to being in power based on a minority of votes through gerrymandering and such and picking which votes they want to count as legal is the next logical step that they've been demanding since 2016 never mind 2020 election. GOP in general wants loopholes. I don't see Romney falling in with that. Especially now the Trumpists are berating him as a traitor already.
