If anyone sees China more favourably than the US they are stupid.

The moral panic, however justified, over Trump does not equal China looking OK in any way.

You have to have very special selective magic mind-glasses to see that...
Two things can be full of cuntery at once, just two parts of the same boil on humanity, greed.

China doesn't look OK, the US just looks fucking terrible.
Yes.

But China is way, way, way worse.

And that's what we're talking about, when China was brought up as a comparison, utterly moronically.

And we look pretty fucking bad, locking up peaceful protesting grannies, by the thousands.

Selective mind-glasses.

I think it's probably a bad idea to emulate China, but as foreign relationships? I can see why the vast majority of the planet favours China over America, when you ignore the bad shit they do in their borders, their foreign policy issue is the South China Sea, other than that they make cheap shit for the rest of the world.

What does America do? Make shit more expensive?

If you put yourself in the shoes of like countries in the Middle East and some South American countries you can absolutely see why they hate Trump.

As for the rest of the world (74% of which live under autocratic rule) you can also see why they might look at the free and democratic America and think 'if this is a representation of the people, they're mental'.

I mean, two pretty huge things in one day...

You're still making that argument comrade?

Xfactor contestant level thinking going on here. I particularly like your easy dismissal of everything that goes on inside Chinas borders

Make no mistake. The US is a vestal virgin dressed in white compared to China's swingin' dick satan.

If most of the world percieves otherwise, that's just evidence of idiocy.

It's funny, when we're allowed to call people stupid and when we're not. Vote for Brexit or Trump? These people are protected and their intelligence must absolutely not be questioned. Suggest that you see China more favourably than the US right now in some poll? Fucking stupid fucks.
yes

Tariffs are his answer to everything:

US President Donald Trump is hitting out at Canada for the wildfire smoke wafting south into the United States.

"We are holding Canada responsible for the fact that they are not properly maintaining their Forests, and Brush therein, and the United States is being unnecessarily invaded by filthy, polluted, and unhealthy air, the quality of which is dangerous, and totally unacceptable!" he wrote on his Truth Social platform.

Trump says he will call Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney to demand an explanation over his country's "willful negligence" that has imposed an "incalculable cost" on the US via the smoke.

The "cost of this pollution must of necessity be added to the TARIFFS Canada is currently paying", Trump threatens.

Fucking hell, is he going to increase tariffs on African countries when Sahara Desert sand is carried by the winds? Fucking useless Africans they should have built walls to keep the sand in their countries.

I think America is trying to pressure Canada into better forestry management. (Or at least be seen to be trying to "do something" for a really visible problem.

The smoke across the US is actually very serious. It will be causing excess deaths along with all the other harms.

And how are they even supposed to manage their forests better? They have 350 million hectares of them (~10% of the world's forest is in Canada) and most of it is remote and takes days to get to when fires break out. It's not a fixable problem on a national scale, all they can do is make sure they protect their populated areas, as best they can.

Maybe Trump could offer to help rather than just whining but the trouble is, he just loves talking shit about other countries and he's not even interested in actually fixing the problem anyway. It's always about putting others down with him. There are longstanding agreements in place to share firefighting resources but no good will come of crying about it and threatening tariffs.

Most of the fires are due to deliberate fires, or natural fires, added to. Better education is needed.

Dickheads, utter wankers. Probably had a good'ol fire. Treat it as arson.

Will the US pay when the smoke blows from all the current US fires into Canada?

Trump isn’t encouraging shit
No. Don't be daft. His style is clearly shit talking.

It's an American thing. Had interactions with a fair few US CIO's and half of them were like Trump. One of 'em upset the European staff so much they had to put him through training because we react so badly to that style. But it's not that unusual.

It's rarely about what he says.

I don't like Trump though, promise!

Maybe he should stop denying climate change is a thing?
Sigh. I clearly don't like him. But I also don't like constant whining. Try to see beyond the form?

HIs climate change stance is clearly morally reprehensible. But it's not unusual - half the leaders of political parties in the UK are talking the same shit.

Day one:

Just like Joe Biden did.

Then they'll spend their time announcing wonderful environmental legislation. But he's done what we're all complaining that the Tories, Reform etc. have been threatening.

Burnham gives zero shits about the climate. Or the manifesto that he promised to uphold.

Nothing @Gwadien?

Joe Biden, day one, massive oil and gas expansion. Andy Burnham, not even day one (that's monday) - massive oil and gas expansion.

He didn't have to do that. It was a choice.

Can't the man have hobbies?!
His hobby seems to be saying a thing that makes no sense then not actually answering questions, or answering different questions

Plus, Gwad doesn't have hobbies other than weed ;)
