S'okay @Deebs - I've already got a chocolate one ;)
Fucksake if you had bought my plastic one and it did not last long I was going to offer my chocolate one if you didn't have one. Luckily it is still in my loft.

The US President has taken three cognitive tests, but that's totally fine and completely normal and there's nothing to see here.

Did I just hear Trump claim he'd brought peace to the Middle East for the first time in 3000 years? I did didn't I?

How did we end up in the worst universe?

You are not wrong, I watched it last night and thought I needed to escape The Twilight Zone.

Yawn.

Got about 2/3rds of the way through it before I decided there wasn't anything to see here other than a lot of people who still don't understand stuff very well.
Like what? I'm for crypto but to claim that World Liberty Financial is anything other than a cover for people to funnel money to Trump for whatever motivation is ridiculous.

I'm not saying it's not happening (or, again, that Trump isn't a cunt). But if you look at that video and see what they're doing with almost every shot and every line and don't question it, then I can't help you.

Most of what they're throwing out (by association btw) is stuff you can and must level at trad. finance.

Nothing new is going on here. Absolutely nothing new - including politicians and country-owners grafting. The only thing that's said that's really of any value is the six seconds from this point. "They definitely sent it".

Yep. They examined the public blockchain. Which is a vast improvement on banks, who won't let you look at their ledgers. And here's two trillion dollars worth of fraudulent transactions in the "normal" world.

I don't think it really matters, Trump is protecting the interests of the billionaires so they're all on his team and they'll get money to him someway or another.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the issue with Trump coin is that it smells like those celebrity coins where everyone invests and suddenly they're worth nothing but the celeb and the company running the coin are suddenly richer? I dunno. Seems like economic Darwinism to me.

The good thing about bit coin, eth etc is that they're decentralised, these don't appear to be.

Oil might occur in Trump's thinking, but oil isn't worth much at all in the current market price of around $60 a barrel.

What the actual fuck is going on
Same thing that happened in Iraq.

Edit: Which we're partly culpable for. A weakening of one of the prime mechanisms to stop a 3rd world war.

A lot is being made of this Greenland thing - but there's an easy solution:

Offer every single Greenlander a million dollars, cash, and ask them to put it to the vote.

They could wrap up the country, democratically, for less than the price of HS2.

:)

A million bucks doesn't go very far when you're a sparsely populated US territory. The cost of living there is super high, and is currently subsidized by the Danish government. What happens when they need to see a doctor and they get a $400,000 dollar hospital bill? Or they need to pay market rates for food, water, electricity. It's going to be more expensive than Alaska, already one of the most expensive places to live in the USA. You can't live happily ever after for a million USD anymore. Maybe $10 million, that's still only 600 million USD. Cheaper than invading, probably. Could ship everyone back to Denmark with a fat cheque, if it came down to it.

A more likely scenario is that the US just takes over, and at some point in the future, it mostly gets handed back with an apology. A few enclaves / ports for US military bases will remain in US hands.

so bribe them and then do democracy?

so don't do democracy?

Also for someone that loves the environment so much, why would you be happy to see the US rip Greenland apart?

Anyone would think it's time to start to consider thinking the US are no longer our friends.

That's exactly democracy. It's a choice. And the demos - the people - would make it.

"We'll make you all millionaires, and in return you become a state of the US, and all that goes with that. Eyes wide open. Yes or no? It's your country, your decision".

Frankly, they'd be getting an upgrade in system of government on this shower too.

Yep. When we started retreating from shared enlightenment principles and started locking people up for tweets and quietly sitting down holding bits of cardboard I could see why we fall out a bit.

At least they still had the grace to stop Putin steamrollering through and knocking on the door of Poland eh? The way we're going it must have been mighty tempting to let him get on with it.

It isn't Trump, it's the people running him. He has no clue about anything, as long as those close to him kiss his arse, he's happy.

The USA seems to be turning toward a spheres of influence stance. They're turning away from the EU, Asia, ME, and focusing on the Americas.

Which was fine in 200 years ago, and makes zero sense in the 21st century. The problem is the people around Trump have drawn some very bad conclusions about why the US is in long term decline.

Just an update:

Yesterday I started to dig up my back garden so I can install a bunker due to Trump vs NATO/Russia/Ukraine/Rest of world. It is going well as I finally managed to break through the ice but then had to stop due to rain.
