UK police guidance says if the victim or any other person perceives hostility based on sexual orientation, it is recorded as a hate incident. By victim, this means anyone who didn't like me saying it.
So even as I clearly didn’t mean it seriously, if one of you feels it’s hostile, it can be logged.
And employers can take action if this is reported. I.E. I could lose my job. It can involve the police turning up at my house.
This was happening long before Trump. And is the legal reality of life in Blighty.

Bless you, I find taking my polling card to a polling station and showing the clerks is really easy as well. The hardest part is where do I put the cross, always tempted to draw some more lines and have a game of noughts and crosses.

Oh yeah, this was a good outcome for the city. The bar is so low compared to the last guy that he cannot possibly be worse. I'm hoping he can do something to make life better and more affordable for the majority of New Yorkers. As a foreigner, he can't run for president, which means he can focus on his actual job instead of running for the next one. The fact that Trump is mad is just a huge bonus.
