Ah yes I forgot. This is 2017, so everything we disagree with is Hitler.

Silly me.

Well apparently finding the lament of middle class, idiotic millennials hilarious is the same as being a fully signed up member of the SS these days...its why the left is collapsing under the weight of its own bullshit.

Now they are on the back foot, they have reverted to the right wing tactics that they so scorned before.
Except, they're not very good at it..and have basically just burst into tears.

Everything is "rigged" and/or "fake" unless it goes in his favour.

Only they weren't so wrong. The polls showed that Trump narrowed the gap to well within the margin of error in the last few days and even though they still had Hillary leading that reflects the fact that she actually won the popular vote by a large margin.

Trump either doesn't understand the facts or is misrepresenting them. No surprise.

Pity the people who answered telephone polls, couldn't be arsed actually going out to vote.

Seems not bad to me, obviously half the country think he's the devil, so for only half of them to be completely against him is better than I would have thought.

About half the country voted, because it would seem that's the people who could be arsed. Of that half, 3 million people over the weighted mean thought he was a cunt. Ofc this will mean nothing to you. Note mean and mean mean different things. Yes, that was deliberately difficult.

It says 54 % are unfavourable and 40% of them are strongly unfavourable.
So rounding it up so I can just write the word half.
Isnt that half of the half as I wrote.

Definitely the beginning of the end for Trump.

Popular vote is irrelevant + California. American system is electoral college, hardly new stuff for the pollsters. Trump campaigned to win the presidency not popular vote - look at numbers and locations of his campaign stops in weeks leading up to election day. Fact is many polls, both state and national were D oversampled - particularly the headline grabbing ones giving HRC a high single/double digit lead. Virtually all electoral map predictions coming from the 'professional' pollsters & MSM were placing HRC at 260-280 safe/leaning and likely taking 320+, bookmakers were ~1.18 (82%+) HRC on polling day iirc. Call it margin of error if you will, fact is Trump flipped & outperformed consistently across plenty of states relative to polling predictions. In most other fields that's called being wrong. Against supposed polling experts that are 0 in 3 in significant western elections/referendum and large swathes of the country that have been conditioned to see literally orange Hitler, maybe Trump has a point. To date, his methods and rhetoric have been unconventional, yet have proven to be highly effective. Judge his presidency in 4 years time, his legacy in 8.

Hitler jokes. Humour.

Don't be a snowflake.

Invoking Godwin's Law counts as humour these days does it?

Christ 2017 is even worse than I thought.

I'd sum it up as naive and savvy.
So, both lacking in judgement (naive) and full of good judgement (savvy)?

Job. Admit it. You're a nigerian 419 forum spammer aren't you. It's the only thing that explains your poor english skills :)

I called Trump's presidency when he first announced he was running, and despite plenty of opportunity to back down, I still felt he was going to win going into the last day, based mostly on reading Facebook comments from my American friends, main stream media coverage, and alternative news media. The 3 did not add up, not even closely. In hindsight, it was painfully obvious for anyone paying any sort of attention. People were tired of the status quo, and Trump was their best bet at something different, for better or worse.

I just keep telling the guys at work that for there to be great presidents, there must be awful ones. They mostly tell me to fuck off back to Europe.

But he has the best disasters, great disasters, they're going to do great things with these disasters, why just last week he sold a disaster to an expert who said it was the world's best disaster.

Liberals tend to be naive..as in trustful, lacking in experience, childlike, starry eyed.
I'd add gullible and simplistic.
Thats why most people turn right wing as they age, watching the world take the piss out of their honest intentions.
As in Lily Alan..ooh lets save the refugees, because it makes me sad.
Reality, a million migrants turn up pretending to be refugees.

Not really a thought piece now is it - it's just confirmation bias for lefties so they can feel superior for a while.

Both pupulist left and populist right have both positive messages and negative, to claim one is better than the other is simply nonsense.
