And like i said, in that situation, the shopkeep isn't obliged to know english, much like it's not expected from a UK shopkeep to know finnish. He is only obliged to serve the UK person as he would a finnish person, in finnish.

I was talking about english people being abroad and getting cocky 'cause the people there don't speak english, i don't know what you're talking about now.

In my experience (and I have travelled a hell of a lot) is that the english, are by far the most pleasant in a foreign country. Of course there are arseholes, but every country have them.
