I wanted to connect one of my PCs to the TV, however, the picture is really bad, no amount of tinkering with the Display Properties, including the fonts and colours, will get me a picture approaching reasonable quality.

Is TV Out only good for DVD, etc ? Can I get a good desktop running on the TV ?

TV is a widescreen 28", graphics card is a GeForce MX built into the nForce2 motherboard, I am using the TV Out connector (?) to a co-ax plug.

PAL resolution isnt all that high, 720*576 or so. Add to that, TV has some builtin blur effect thingy, and you'll never get a sharp enough picture for text on the desktop. LCD TV is the way to go!

You might find that playing a movie on your TV from the computer will look better quality than the desktop does though.
