She gets a fairy protector and it's later revealed that her lineage is the fairy king or some such and he wants to help her.


- but if you read that and almost slit your wrists - dont worry - the tv series have diverged from the book plot from the most part ( eg the vampire rights act, magister, russel edgington doing anything ( in the books he isnt the king that marries the queen - he has a gay wedding and is a homo ).

She seems to have extra powers compared to the book I do not remember the Hand power from the book for example? So she might not be following the book 100%

Yeah, for once Jason wasn't a dumb son of a bitch. I was just waiting for him to say "not if I have wooden bullets" before pulling the trigger and thus give Franklin the warning he needed to survive.

Letting *Russell* drain Sookie implies it would also weaken vampire abilities. Remember how Godric went up in the sun? Russell at 3000 years old must have to make REALLY sure he never sees the sun... thus any chance of him not having a problem with the sun is likely a VERY bad idea.

I keep wondering about Crystal and her kin too. It's either they're really strong (but Sam had little trouble with the one in the bar) or they shape-shift in some manner, be that werewolves (or other were*) or also being general shifters.

I don't think they are shifters - remember the bar scene were Crystals father and boyfriend come looking for her? Sam and his bro smell them coming, and look disturbed. crystals dad makes a derogatory remark about shifters as he leaves.

They are a community of inbred were-panthers - jason ends up marrying crystal ( in the books ) after being held in a shed and bitten for 2 weeks and turned into a "bitten" were-panther himself.

Yes ladies and gentlemen.. the books get really really stupid Good job the Series is diverging from the books.
