We've all used Babelfish to translate english in to german so we can insult our german colleagues in their own language (haven't we??)


But does anyone know of any professional translation software?

errm...a dictionary usually gets me there. a word for word translation proggy will utterly screw up I'm afraid :/

Unfortunately - it's for a fuckwitt user who's secretary to the MD, and she's DEMANDING that we find something suitable...

Try Intertran, they do a superb translation package.

I used some translation software years ago to convert some help files to french. It's totally shit, you need to teach it most words and even then words are translated out of context.

Example:

Vice versa was translated to "against prostitution"

Tell her it can't be done and to use one of the many pay services available on the net.
