My main PC died awhile ago - stuck a new hard drive in etc and its up and running again now, but there were some vid files on the PC - 10gb home movie type ones (yes the one you bought off that dodgy website - you know who you are - it was the goat one).. Problem is this - the drive is a SATA drive and I had a spare PC with an IDE main drive (only 10gb with XP on) and a 2nd drive being a SATA drive for storage - so switched that drive for the one with the movies etc on and tried to x-fer the data off to an external drive (because there isnt enough room on the 10gb drive etc) and it won't let me - says Disk full etc - now there is hardly anything on the external drive and I had the same problem ages ago trying to x-fer a .img file over - wouldnt let me (4gb or so file it was) - The movies I want to x-fer are just windows movie format so just 1 file - I think the problem lies in it cant x-fer one chunk of large data over - it lets me copy say a ripped DVD style file where its 4gn broken into VOB files etc, but wont let me copy singular large files over...
Any way around this other than converting the media files to DVD etc and x-fer that way?
