Pwn originally came around though due to fast paced games having people trying to say "Owned" and hitiing the "P" instead of "O" therefore becoming "Pwned". Just seemed to spiral from there until you reached todays usage.
But then, people try to give different reasons behind it coming into effect so i shut up now But due to above Pwn/Pwned = Own/Owned.

Good thing I never follow game trends then I do things on how they're spelt/pronounced. ;D

Then you also have to take into consideration that pwn as itself, could never be a word because of the silly structure it has.

Only one vowel, beginning with a double consonant, and so forth.

So the only real way to say it, is the original "own" way, which can be pronounced in a logical and "intellectual" way

Now the word pown, could be considered a word, but it would be the only one worthy of being pronounced as such.

Maybe they need to update the Nerdica Galactica

That's why you add a vowel Pawn'd.

But pawn is a word already in the language, as in, pawn something for cash.

Pown would be the only logical and "make sense" way for the "pwn" word people are using wrong.

So i suggest(even if i can't pronounce suggest), that "pown" be used if you wish to use that term.

Pown, could also derive from the old Mario Bros game, where POW was used as a "owning" tool

See? I've thought this through, no problems.

Only thing to do now, is to set a difference in "pown" and "own".
