What Yuck and Summo said. There were some fantastic threads on BW that, had they been posted on FH, would've been greeted with bans. Let's get rid of the CoC and take this place back a couple of years.
The issue of direction isn't really relevant in the context of the General forum in my opinion. What'll prevent this place from ever seeing the glory days that were BW is that there are simply a lot more wankers around now. People who posted controversial material/thoughts on the old, pre-Game BW were quickly removed as soon as the more sanitised, corporate ruleset was put into place. They most likely won't come back, and they seem to have been replaced with numpties insistent on spamming the boards with bullshit.
This could (and has, repeatedly) be(en) blamed on the inclusion of the DAoC community, but that's a tired point-of-view and there are quite a few people that I know and like who stumbled into General and made themselves known. And I know I was in the minority, but I really liked cage's random, off-the-wall outbursts. He (and people like him) brought a different and necessary energy to the place.
There was heaps more I wanted to say, but I got so enveloped in the first few paragraphs I completely forgot about it. :\

There may be too many shit threads in FH general, but that doesn't mean that FH is heading down the tubes.
Like it or not, the General forum users are the minority on this BBS, with the most active participants being the DAoC players. They have all the rants/raves/flames old BW'ers could possibly want, along with some intelligent discussion.
So, just because the General 'regulars' have a feeling of doom and gloom, doesn't mean the rest of the boards think the same.

It's been said that FH doesn't have a direction. What then would actually constitute "on-topic" ? Quick answer: nowt. So stop yer whining and let the mods discriminate between malicious crap and arseholes from the just bored lot, and doing some population control on clown's "hay!!1!/" threads and such.

Mank no because it will mean if the CoC was removed there would be more mods to just keep an eye, ensuring things don't overstep the old BW line if its laid down.
As for mods i'm on 10am-1pm, and on most days 10pm-1am. I was a mod on the old BW as well as GAME so experience is there, and I know where you all live (ok that bits not true, but I know many of you well from over the years).
