All kinds of weed can theoritically cause hallucinations.
What is needed to obtain those are a mix of dosage and strength of the weed, so with a normal type which should be relative weak, you will need an very high dosage, while if Tom Cruise purple is loaded with strength, even a small dosage could induce hallucinations on the consumer.

Dont know if thats the case here, but it is definitely a possibility
