ToA isn't for me, i think.

The more I read about ToA the more and more I'm pushed towards quitting.

The game isn't ballanced as it is; far from it. Necro's are nuts, Bonedancers are bugged, Infils are overpowered, Savages have an identity crisis, casters in general are fairly gimped, there are unusable specs etc... and everything I've read of ToA suggests that the ballance is going to be further screwed up; ML Abilities already being hit with the nerf bat etc..

Sod it.

When it hits the euro servers I think my rm is gonna finally lay down his staff, if not before.

why? As a caster from what is posted so far, you will be much much better what with the 100% guard. It means you cannot be hit by melee until your 2.2k hp guard is killed, by which time, your RM has nuked the opponent into oblivion.

Ofc there are more interupts etc around but it's a pure tank nerf. Also the artifact which transforms your entire group into panthers. Well who are they gonna pick first as an assist train? 1 in 8 chance you will be targetted instead of 1 in 2 or 3.

Will it make the game more interesting? yes
Will it make more variations in potential group setups? yes
Will it probably unbalannce the game? Only time will tell.

Make up your own mind when it arrives and if you think it's bad, then by all means /cancel

Personally i think TOA will inject some interest back into PvE, power gamers will ofc get all the best items and what not first but who cares, there is something in there for everyone.

I'm keeping an open mind till we actually get it, though from the looks of whats going on in America (looking at the actual pictures, not the impartial comments that go with them on the VN boards). It looks to change the face of RvR, especially like that Panther artifact - will be nice to have a chance to actually do some healing w/o getting an /assist train on my ass. (that, and could you imagine 50+ panthers in one area all fighting? FORTEHWIN!!!!)

Yes but you can still 3 shot them with your RM and are still easily the buggiest class in the game :/

seems to me that the 24/7 power gamer types will just go farm artifacts and ML's like they do rps and the gap between those and the less serious/casual game players will increase even more in RVR as has happened with RA's ...

Its not like this stuff all just comes easy.. TOA has been out for a while and i think hibs arent even past level 4 yet.. the panther artifact u need 10 levels on it to get the fg of panthers.. a level 49 got two bubbles in same time it took to get artifact thru level 1.. another 9 levels yet to go..

So these things wont be very common, but yes toa will change the face of rvr.. prolly at first because emain will be empty then some months later when people actually get to level 10 and have that uber guard.. gonna need to employ new tactics is all..

You'll be lucky. I think the chances of WoW appearing in the next four months in anything other than beta (and beta wll be US-only at first) are a big fat zero.

They haven't even started the beta which was supposed to be in this quarter, so slim chances... Propably 2nd q/04 earliest for beta, meaning maybe 4th q/04 for us EU people.

I wont be buying ToA...when ToA comes out ill quit daoc (I dont even use SI enough atm) and wait/buy WoW
