There's no thing as first language really

belgium has 3 languages : dutch,german,french.

Flemish is not a language as such, but it differs from the dutch spoken in the Netherlands on quite some things.

ps: Bometal took the liberty of translating your words in a flemish dialect.

French is spoken by +/- 4 000 000 Belgians.

German is spoken by +/- 500 000 Belgians.


All three official languages but flemish is the most used

Ofcourse must every Belgian speak all three languages
