Ive been using all the above for Months, i think the Barrysworld Tutorial by SAS was the best Tutorial ive ever read.

But you dont need it Trems, dont forget, the people who are on Barrysworld are very good now, so theres a chance theyve also been using the same tricks for ages... you just gotta learn how to beat em at their own game

Personally I often stray into other games then return to cs later that evening. I dunno why , but half an hour playing q3 on the J*lt dm server and I return to cs and mostly do pretty well. It may well be the confidence thing actually :)

Tremor, how accurate is your mouse resolution? My 'skill' level went up a bit when I upgraded from 98 to xp, mostly because the mouse resolution became higher. Choke and FPS are important, I've been killed a few times by people coming from behind a corner, and my computer 'lagging' for a fraction of a second.

I would also agree with everything D0lly says, but tbh I don't care too much about my score, just so long as I have a good time (which is why I buy lots of shottehs and mac10s)

Well I played last night, I entered the game with a spring in my step, full of confidence from reading the tips on here. Did I do well? Did I fuck, it was the worst I have ever played. It definately, absolutely is a confidence thing imo. Adz was kicking ass as well and that always upsets me;)

You could use the old trick I did with him.

"Yeah... just there. I swear, peeps coming round corner."

"Ok..."

/me watches several peeps arrive, BEHIND Adz...

/me watches Adz valiantly trying to fight all of them, killing none but wounding all.

/me laughs manically as I open up with big gun thingy from camping spot.

Nothing with using bait after all :D

The worst thing is, anyone who actually knows Adz- will know that he does fall for shit like that :D. And they think I'm the dappy blonde tart.

Fuckin hell, I go away for 1 day and what happens?

Tremor starts an interesting and useful thread (major shock :))

And not only that; it contains a long, well reasoned, and not totally off the wall, post from Dolly! (even more major shock :))

Anyway, I'm with you on this Trem, there are people around at the moment who make me feel like a total noob, most have been mentioned here already, but honorable mention should also go to JC (I heard someone call him John the other day, I'd always assumed the J was for Jesus), who totally anihilated me on Nuke the other day, really awsome.

On the other hand though there was a great game of dust (oxymoron probably) that we were both in the other day, you and me came top of CT, with super ted and SG top of T's. That was a good game, with some really good people in it (Jobs and ECA, though to be fair neither for the whole game) I was really chuffed to do so well, it kinda gave me some confidence back.

I guess what I'm saying is that neither of us is that bad, it's just that we can't compete with the really good guys 1 on 1. Fair enough, I'm just happy that I can play well enough to enjoy the game; most of the time.

Lol, Trem, no one said the Tactics would be instantly workable, it will take weeks/months to learn it properly
