Time for new computer?

Is it a good time to buy a new computer or will there be a new release of something soon that will lower prices?

Also is Quadcore still a waste if im gamer?

Yeah, quad core is still a bit of a waste of money but not by much. There's a new processor series and socket to go with it for Intel (i7) in the next few months, that will be bringing prices down somewhat.
