Flowers, sure. They arent that expensive, and they are very pretty and romantic. Something half useful, hey look at that, I said what for. I mean, if you think reasonably (yeye reason and love and all that) about it, there is NOTHING quite as useless as jewlery.
Men are tools, they buy jewlery because it makes women swoon, there is NO other reason... EVER.

Stick to perfume, atleast she'll smell nice when your boning her

Best way to buy a chick your into gifts is to ally with one of her friends.
