Lasers are becoming so cheap and powerful, they have got and need more strict laws on their sale and use, they are like the poster boy of technological advance changing the game.
Just search Ebay for powerful version, like this one simply taken out of a DLP projector..freakin damage you could do with that.

I am not sure why anyone would want a laser pointer that can blind people tbh, I can't really think of any practical use... horses for courses i suppose.

As for idiots pointing them at aircraft. They need to be removed from the gene pool

Some sexy lazers on that page though, it's just the ability to project influence over such distance so cheaply and without detection if you do it right, got a problem with someone?
Blind the fucker in the street from half a mile away with a 5w laser and then throw it away.
OK you could get a gun, but they don't sell (supposed) them on Ebay.

Apparently you can make an eavesdropping device from a laser pretty cheaply!
