Looked through the settings. Will see what happens. Ta :)
It is good, it gets deployed onto every machine whether physical or virtual here at FH Towers. I also use URL based lists from well known sources to further reduce the shite I do not want consuming my pr0n^^ecious bandwidth.

I use UBlock Origin for FF.
Are you sure UBO automatically removes consent popups? It doesn't have a configuration setting for that as an option. I use Ghostery for that since it explicitly states that as a feature - it's not perfect but it seems to work on the majority of sites.

Ublock is not just an adblocker....
Not sure if this is what your after, but I think in Firefox's settings there is a cookie thing where you can set it to clear cookies every time you close the browser. This is good so they don't take just sit in browser cache.
I think its kind of hard for extensions to this because of how some websites are designed and how firefox handles webpages because its gecko not chromium. Most websites are made to work better with chromium as much as I can see because well google chrome is still the most used browser

Fair enough, but you can add filters in uBlock though?

So then. Abortions.

I don't agree with decriminalising abortion.

The reason it was set at 24 weeks was because at that point a foetus could potentially survive and certainly feels pain. If a woman wants rid and gets the gin and knitting needles out she's committing murder.

There is, of course, another action they could take - give it up for adoption.

What surprises me is the fact that there's not more noise about this. Are we now so scared of looking like upsetting women that we won't say anything about babykillers?

Why not just decriminalise anything women fancy?

I think, like assisted dying, it is an infinitely complex subject that I don't have the tools to deal with, so don't.

I imagine the same applies to most MPs.

Who makes this shit up ?? How the fuck does that headline make people want to buy the toilet paper it is printed on?

It's the Sunday Sport.

Well worth a follow on X - I find them pretty much the most honest news outlet going....

I think entirely the point is to stop women not being able to discuss wanting to abort late babies, then professionals can offer alternatives and/or give a proper medical procedure rather than in the toilets with a coathanger.

Bit like the decriminalising drugs argument innit.

Apart from you take drugs for you. When you abort a 24+ week foetus you're killing someone else.

So no. That comparison trivialises what is, in effect, murder. As does this legislation.

Nah for me, this one's easy.

Can the unborn person live, and feel pain? After 24 weeks - yes.

You've got a free shot at getting shot of a kid you don't want for six whole months of your pregnancy. When you get past that point, you're committed. You're not committed to keep the child and bring it up. You're not even legally obliged to financially support it (unlike the man who fathered it). And you still have a pass in certain circumstances.

This legislation is about making things OK for women, and fuck the unborn child.

Perhaps we should leave discussion of, and laws relating to, womens' bodies - to women.
This is intellectual cowardice and the sort of bullshit we've been cowed with.

How about we discuss the laws relating to actual babies and their potential murder?

I've not got a religious bent here. I'm just not into allowing women free reign into mashing up life. They've got six months to do exactly that. The abortion laws were brought in to protect the rights of the baby. At that 24 week period it has rights that supercede the mother's.

But "women" eh? Lets not fucking challenge anything eh? Free pass.

I cannot remember to be honest as I just don't get popups, I have used Ghostery in the past but it is not on this laptop, maybe it is on old one and I have just not transferred it across.

No. That's actually a very silly argument, because whether you like it or not, it's not just the woman's body. @Scouse is right, if the foetus is capable of live birth, which is currently about 24 weeks (and edging back over time) then you have to include that in consideration. Otherwise where do you stop? Nine months?

Pro-choice is fine and I agree with it, but there's a line, and medical technology gives it to us.

On the face of it, this looks like a reasonable move by Labour:

But what terrifies me is the line that they want to update the trespassing laws? There's nothing wrong with the trespassing laws.

Well that's not strictly true - actually there is - the Tories for the first time in 2022 made some bits of trespass a criminal offence. I can only imagine Labour are going to add more criminality into the trespass laws. And that doesn't just affect the homeless - that affects all of us.

Surprised he wasn't "cancelled" years ago, black face, taking the piss out of Asians, taking the piss out of trannies.
What a pussy whipped little shithole of a country we've become.

A spokesperson for Banijay UK, which owns the show's production company Zeppotron, said: "Any attempt at humour regarding this deeply offensive gesture, whether broadcast or not, is completely unacceptable in any context.

No it isn't you cunts.

Basically, any "comedian" who doesn't do a section about pointless nazi salutes somewhere in their routine is missing the point of comedy serving to pushing boundaries. The fact that this has become a boundary is so, so sad.
