Officially stressed, according to the doc, since Tuesday last week I have eaten 2 slices of plain toast, a cheese sandwich and a scone, and those were a struggle.

Quit my job the other day, so that will help.

So, I did nearly 2 weeks, and consumed fewer than 2000 calories.

Interesting "results" I lost a stone, that I probably needed to lose anyway, and completely changed my eating habits. I wasn't a massive snacker before, but meal portions were quite generous. I now eat twice a day, porridge for breakfast and a normal size dinner.

I have zero appetite for sugar, I ate a jelly baby and found it disgustingly sweet (I used to love them) and just can't be bothered to eat if I am not hungry, I seem to just be hungry at the right time, breakfast and dinner time, and energy levels are up. I have also found I don't really need to add salt to meals, I used to sprinkle it on as habit, everything tastes better.

I do not recommend burning out, at all, but every cloud, and all that.

You sir, have just done keto.

It's carbs that make you want to snack.

Had a terrible weekend. Early November my Mum finished her last immunotherapy treatment for breast cancer, nearest you can get to an "all clear". So she and my stepdad went off for a cruise to celebrate. Last week she got short of breath and went into hospital in Tenerife. Died at 1.30AM on Sunday. My brother made it to the hospital with a couple of hours to spare.

Fuck.

Sorry to hear that, DaGaffer (now I can post!) Must be quite a shock. Do they know what it was?

We don't know yet, but we think she developed leukemia from the chemo/radio (not the first time that's happened in my family) and then got an infection her body couldn't fight. How it happened so quickly....no idea.

I'm sat in Gatwick waiting for my stepfather to land from Tenerife (that's a whole tale of being very polite but firm to insurance company people who fall apart if it's not in their script), to get him home. No idea when the funeral will be as she probably won't be flown back to the UK for a week.

I'm certainly battering my carbon footprint at the moment.

Yeah, but it's boring. Being chunky doesn't necessarily equal being unfit or unhealthy, my old man was running marathons into his 60s and rode 20 miles a day, and is chunky. He would probably still be doing it if 20 years of jumping out of planes didn't fuck his knees.

Or being chunky.

Biggest problem with knees is weight.

Speaking as a currently fat cunt about to undergo a 3rd round of ankle surgery.

(Motivation for me to lose weight)

Has FH been down more than usual? Find myself seeing a Men At Work sign more often than not these days.

Well, man + bergen + rifle + whatever else they carry, is a lot. He lost most of his toes, too, and is deaf in one ear from the artillery.

Gets a nice wedge for it though.

I will add, after some more use.

They keyboard is solid, great to use, keys are excellent.

The wheel add-on doesn't seem to do anything that makes it worth having as an add-on, it does media controls, and that is about it. It appears that it is supposed to do much more, but is cursed with bugged software, the wheel is supposed to do all sorts, but mine is stuck as either volume control or a clock, but cannot be both. The numpad could also connect better, if you pick the keyboard up, it falls off.

While a fantastic keyboard, the modular system seems to be there for the reason of having a modular system, it could have been much better as a solid non-modular keyboard.

Also, I reckon they blew at least 20% of the budget on packaging, it's spectacular in its waste, seems a shame to throw it away.

Bought a Steelseries Apex 9 on a Black Friday offer. Feels pretty solid and I like the keys a lot. Support software is a bit wank, but I find that's true for most of these things.
