So people are complaining that Samsung are not including a standard USB/plug socket charger and not including earphones with the new S21. Samsung have said that people already have them.

Now obviously it's a cost-cutting measure, but it is a valid point, everyone has loads of the USB chargers, we don't need more plastic things in kitchen drawers!

For some reason I only have two USB-Cs, and the cable for my Note 9 is irritatingly short. Personally I'd say its a bit too soon to start ditching cables, and I'd also point out if they want conquest sales from Apple users this is a bit of a problem.

If he expects that drive to contain data after 8 years buried under a load of shit I have a bridge I am selling.
For 7,500 Bitcoin, you'd bloody well try though. If he's incredibly lucky it might've been instantly buried under non-icky waste and not suffered from the elements so the internals *might* be in good enough nick to send it to a data recovery specialist to attempt to get the data straight off the platters. Again, for £200+ million, you'd try.

It's not the cables they are ditching, it's just the socket/plug thing.

Really? The cable that came with mine is probably 1m long, which is probably twice the length of the one that came with my Note 3.

Ooh Mr Fancypants. Those USB charger sockets cost a fortune (the Legrand ones do, anyway).

We did loads of rewiring when we had the extension done so got most of the sockets in the house upgraded. It wasn't that costly from memory

Oh that's fine. I've got hundreds of them (literally bags full of them) and USB chargers in all my wall sockets.

Yeah me too, kitted the whole house in them when I did the electrics.

If I remember right it was € ~80 for a double socket with a normal plug on one side and 2 USB on the other (edit: ok, € 74). Mind you that's Legrand which is notoriously expensive (but great quality and very trustworthy).

I threw a load of the plugs out the other day when doing a clear out of the storage cupboard. Must've had about 25 in there.

Holy shit! They're €20 on Screwfix, with a double socket and double USB. And that's high end; you can probably find them for a tenner.

We have a few in our house, put them in 3 years ago when we moved in, don't remember paying more than a tenner for double socket ones with 2 usb slots.

Bought a Terry's Chocolate Orange. Not had one in years.
Each piece is a lot thinner than they used to be
1 orange is still 1 orange though, right? ;)

Chocolate is obviously shrinking, but we're still a nation of fat cunts. The growth we're experiencing is in our waistlines.

As much as all of those things are like crack cocaine (to different people) we now need to see them for what they really are - slow poison.

They need to be five times the price, with tax going back to the NHS. People will still be able to eat them - but the fact of the matter is, the daily troughing on chocolate bars and sugary drinks is helping turn humanity into a bunch of disabled fat fucks.

But "freeeeeedommmmmm!".

Yeah. Freedom to be a fat cunt. Which you'd still be able to do/be - but you'd at least be paying your fair share to the NHS. :)

Sometimes you are baffling. People shouldn't have the free choice to make decisions about what they eat, but they should be free to incite terrorism on social media.

So you're saying we should put microchips in fat people and monitor their sugar intake? ;) (Plz, only after I've lost christmas fatness)

Where've I said that? Come on. Show it exactly. There's a handy quote feature you can use.

I've said make them more expensive. People can be fat cunts all they like. But they should have to pay for the consequences of them being fat cunts.

At no point have I talked about them being criminalised, or losing their jobs. I'm just saying - if you want to be a fatty bombatty and consume all of the NHS funding, then feel free, but you'll have to contribute a bit more to the NHS budget via tax to pay for your fat idiocy.

Free to be a fat cunt. Small financial consequence. Seems like a good balance to me.

Whilst the language is quite harsh I can't help but agree with this tbh. As a smoker I pay plenty of extra tax to cover any excess load I put on the NHS, it's about time the fatties did the same.

We should link it to BMI though. No idea why I should pay extra for crisps just becuase I can control myself and stop at the 3rd bag.

Well that's the problem isn't it. Most people can control themselves, and it's a minority ruining it for the rest of us. Just like most people manage to not use twitter to tell people to attack parliament.

This is why people bristle at my posts :)

It's not a minority at all. It's the majority of people who can't "control themselves" - 70% of people in the UK are overweight or obese.

But to show sympathy with fatties - it's not about "controlling yourself" - if it was as simple as self-control then more people would be the right weight - especially given how much of an industry has sprung up to exploit people's desire to be the right weight - and how much effort people put in to be that.

It's about an "obesogenic environment". So we need to make environmental adjustments. And the way to do that is to make it more expensive to be a fat cunt.

Money talks. And as to your and @Bodhi's cry of "fatties ruining it for the rest of us" - if you're only occasional chocolate eaters then expensive chocolate will barely be a blip on your expenditure. But for the twats who eat it every day, it'll change their habits.
