Unfortunately companies have to protect stupid people from themselves and most cases will likely because people don't pay any attention to password security. Routers have been 'hacked' (it's not really hacking) for years because of weak password housekeeping, this is no different, in fact much easier.

Lots of flooding over night in the rich folks new part of the village, that everyone local said would flood before it was built...mostly because it floods every other year.

People buying new builds on newly acquired land should really do some research first because those that grant planning permission certainly don't.

Cherry on the cake for the year for them I imagine, poor fuckers. I am not sure if it's got far enough to affect the premier league manager that lives there though.

Nah. Ring didn't instill basic security in their software for years and had their systems hacked themselves and had user passwords stolen. Then blamed users for that?

Plus the deals with the po-po and third parties are fully surveillance state.

I like the ring doorbell idea but havent got one cause of how technology like that always gets hacked at some point and it all went off line theother month when back end went down. I dislike the upload and connection to the cloud.
i got a light camera for the front door that just stores locally on a sd card. I can connect to my network from outside and see whos been or not.
