Most of the Black Friday stuff I’ve seen has been tat or not very worthwhile anyway; I want to get a Nintendo Switch for the kids for Christmas and the Amazon “deal” is about a fiver on a 400 quid bundle.

Just walked in the door. Started at 02:30 Thursday morning, after sleep of an hour. Then followed a 22 hour day which consisted of driving up to London in a convoy of three large vans, unloading said van into York Hall and proceeding to put together the setup seen in the picture below (Minus the stage) for a boxing match or 10. Running that event till gone 23:00. Going to a hotel and getting 5 hours sleep. Up again at 05:45 to head back there and add the stage, plus more lighting and such. Then running another event, after which we packed it all up and headed over to Kings Cross to help pack down another event. Left London at just gone 5 this morning and in a n hour my ex is dropping the kids off for the weekend. 6 hours sleep in the last 72 or so and I won't be sleeping till tonight. Yay?

No, its dried stuff and tinned stuff. Will keep for years. Oats, rice, pasta, tins of fruit and veg, tinned chilli etc, salt, honey, oil, couple of bottles of booze. Then things like candles, matches, warm blankets, first aid kit etc

Its not exactly world cuisine but it doesn't cost much and in the event of someone fucking something up, it will be meals.

I have everything else I would need to cook from my camping stuff, water purification system, fire stuff etc.

One good use for AI will be a proxy server thst strips all the bloat , scripts and bullshit from websites so we can have the internet back.
You can reducecmost sites by 95% and give your CPU a rest.

If only there was some way of doing that already, they could call it an adblocker or an extension called NoScript or something.

They are far from perfect and they use CPU to remove the script, so still long way off, the adblockers are actually slower on my older phone.

You could route all of your traffic through a VPN and have it do all of that for you and forward the results to your browser, I suppose. Nothing to do with AI though, and there's still a CPU somewhere doing the work.
