No it's not nothing. 1000 acid attacks is 1000 acid attacks, how many there are in India in comparison is irrelevant. I also wouldn't trust that estimation if i were you. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if the actual number were much higher.. The thing with India is that even though the country officially got rid of the caste system it's still very much there. And if you're at the bottom of that system very few (with the power to do something) in India cares about you or what happens to you unless what happens is so horrible it can't be ignored.

Really good pizza place in our village, but I’ve taken to making my own, even the dough. Been going through a bit of a cooking kick over the last year or so; try to make something I’ve not done before at least once a week.

I cheat, slightly. Get the breadmaker to make the dough.

New socks.

Forgot how good that new sock feel is. I might just start wearing them once and throwing them out.

This x100

I've started donating a lot of the clothes I no longer wear, including socks. You can get a 10 pack of black socks at the price of like £6 in H&M. So worth it! I get a pack every other month

Looked it up... so this is what's going on (according to the daily mail);
  • Connor Hayes is a pervert who is in jail for revenge porn on a child, and is soon to be released.
  • Gaia Pope is a tragic teenager.
  • A family of three was arrested by police for suspicion of murder of Gaia Pope (unclear), they were released and is now "expected" to sue the police.
What a trainwreck...

What does point one have to do with points two and three?

The police basically arrested and released 3 different people for murder, and named them in the press. They are now suing the police, rightfully so.

Turned out she topped herself and had a whole load of mental problems. It appears she had some sort of episode after finding an abuser was due to be released.

Sad case, especially when they start talking to people who saw her on the night, obviously in a state, and did absolutely nothing to help her.

Im sorry but thats perfectly clear.

No, its perfectly clear if you've already read the story and have the background. If you don't its gibberish. The key bit here is "tragic teenager", which means apparently (I've read elsewhere) that she topped herself, but could mean anything from murder to poor dress sense. Then you have no context as to why she was in fear of this guy and what it had to do with "tragic". The last part of the sentence makes a bit more sense, but has nothing to do with the first half of the sentence. Its crap English.

It may even have been a bad epilepsy fit, or am I out of touch with updates?

Yeah it might well have been, but either way, not murdered by 3 different people.

Useless policing it seems, spending more time trying to pin her (murder) on random people when they should have been out finding her body, 11 days ffs.

To be fair no one knew for sure what had happened. I am sure that the police were out there looking while they were questioning people.

She was found in a remote area and no one had the foggiest where she had gone. So its not suprising it took ten days.

Only bad thing i can see was the release of the suspects names when they were questioned.

It wasn't that remote, as far as I am aware, she walked there.

You don't arrest 3 people in 2 days for murder when you have no body, no circumstances, no motive, no nothing (just a missing person at this point) and you certainly don't name them.

What you do is trace their last movements as best as you can and search for them. You don't sit in the station waiting for a dog walker (or whatever) to find a body.

Seems they were arrested because their Alibis didnt line up with the time stamp on the CCTV footage...which hadnt been updated for winter time.

Yes folks...computer says no in action.

That happened to a chap near us recently - body found in the canal near Stone, turns out he had an epileptic fit whilst walking alongside, which took him into the canal :(
