using the word ethnic
You didn't use the word "ethnic" - you used the term "ethnics" - in the nominative case. i.e. racistly.

This has been clearly pointed out to you, repeatedly. The dictionary labels it "offensive". It's racist, you used it in a racist context, you're racist.

Why, Mr Racist? Why exactly?

The Oxford English Dictionary, the definitive record of the English language, states use as a noun is offensive. Stop arguing the obvious. You know you are. Admit it and move on.

Had a McDonalds for the first time in ages. Went for a "big tasty" bacon thingy.

Was 2 "rashers" the size of your finger of that horrible American style bacon and a bit of tired looking lettuce. Manky, dry burger.

What a horror show, absolutely disgusting. I can certainly see why they are struggling. £8something for that and some cheese bites, complete scam.

I haven't been to McDonald's since they binned the Big Breakfast (sausage eggs hash brown & muffin). An absolute disgrace imo. Perfect for hangovers, early starts, or to kick off a long journey.

The definitive library for what is the right to say that week.
Its not offensive or racist without the person hearing it having a well developed hair trigger response to any word remotely connected to race.
And that would be you.

Tbh, I could not give a shit about other people in general, let alone people of different skin tone than mine. I never knew what xenophobia meant until school, when we've had an experience exchange exercise with some other school - and decided it felt wrong.

Racism on the other hand is as full of sense as our imaginary friends and deities - just people unable to raise their head from the dirt and take in the overview, understand the whole picture.

It would have been a place holder that got missed.

It was factually accurate (Although the bird they picked looks a bit worn out)

I thought that but seems a bit flippant for a company supplying a magazine.

You job in disguise?

What?

It was a picture of a semi attractive women at a cycling event, to draw the reader to the article (the middle, largest picture) The place holder description when laying out the story on the board would have said exactly that, the others would have said "group shot" "action shot" "headshot" etc etc, they would have then picked from the 100s of pics they took that day to pick which ones to use. Someone else then captions them.

That is how it works.

The place holder caption was factually accurate.

How else do you think the design team decide which pics to use, throw them in the air and see which land face up?

I really do struggle not to burst out laughing now when I see the word "Token". South Park pretty much killed that word for me.

Cartman has broken the forum, as I'm pretty sure I only pasted that picture once.

@Raven, read your own article.

It wasn't a placeholder, it was an idiotic comment that has been apologised for.

No, that is what they have claimed.

They wouldn't say "yes mate, we use shit like that all the time, we at Cyclist weekly love a bit of bants" would they?

Oh, they are stopping the Yellow pages. Will save someone the time of walking it up my garden path just to watch me pick it up and walking it 5 metres to the recycling bin I suppose.
