Just been reading about the heater spec on Teslas.
Hoky fuck the heater runs on 400V DC and is rated at 4KW.
Teslas have 400V DC running around the car from front to back powering the aircon and heater.
Thats a serious voltage...have a crash...get electrocuted by the car.
Actually the entire car is 380 volts, thats a serious amount of power...yes amps kill...and 4KW at 400 volts is 10 amps, thats more than enough.Volts thrill Amps kill.
Also, it wouldn't "Run around the car front to back" what would be the point of the extra wiring? The aircon unit and heater would only actually be a couple of feet from the battery.

And your final comment demonstrates that, like most people, you do not understand how electrical current flows. 4kW is a measure of the system, it does not determine current flow. A potential of 400 VDC across a dry human body is not enough to kill that person.
