Another free month (that is 7 now) added to me Amazon prime account.

I ordered an LED lamp, just a clip on cheapo thing so I can do my leatherworking in the evening, now the nights are drawing in. Ordered with a couple of other bits. Other bits came but the lamp wasn't there so I just pinged them an email to confirm it was on its way or what was happening. Said no rush but please make sure it wasn't missed when it was picked.

Hoky fuck the heater runs on 400V DC and is rated at 4KW.
Teslas have 400V DC running around the car from front to back powering the aircon and heater.

Actually the entire car is 380 volts, thats a serious amount of power...yes amps kill...and 4KW at 400 volts is 10 amps, thats more than enough.

And your final comment demonstrates that, like most people, you do not understand how electrical current flows. 4kW is a measure of the system, it does not determine current flow. A potential of 400 VDC across a dry human body is not enough to kill that person.

Of course I understand power and amps..you can have all the amps you want but you need the potential difference..volts..to get some current possibly across your heart and stop it..or simply burn you internally.

You have added dry to maximise skin resistance, thats not exactly quantifiable...in most cases 400 volts will easily kill someone if it tracks across the heart.

It means the circuitry is allowing 10 amps to flow...they might have circuit breakers to prevent electrocution or flow to earth.
If you were to contact that wire it has the power rating to deliver 400volts...10 amps.
I presume though Tesla must have impact circuit breakers all over the place or the cars would be going up like small bombs in crashes.
