I voted to remain simply because I can't conceive of how anyone would think we're going to be better off no longer being a member of a huge, powerful trading block that so far, seems only to have improved our lot.

"But the unelected bureaucrats!" they complain. I just wonder who exactly isn't elected. The council, who are our elected leaders? The parliament, who are all elected? Or the commission, who are selected by...our elected representatives.

As you know the EU started off as a trading bloc...then it decided to grab political power.
It will keep grabbing power in the classic road to hell...good intentions.
It should return to be a trading bloc before it destroys Europe.
Freedom of movement...as in uncontrolled freedom of movement is there to keep the rich in gold Ferraris and they sell it to liberals as human rights.
Our vote to leave is a token measure that has shown just how easy it is for the EU to buy loyalty from the 'educated' masses.

The evidence weighs against them. The difference is cultural and doesn't display in countries like India, for example.
Just to pull you up. If job posted this you would be screaming at him to quote sources for your evidence.

TBH- I can't be arsed to argue with Bodhi over it - he doesn't read what he posts properly himself - just looks for a sentence or two to backup what he thinks - so I didn't post my own. Look at what he posted - in one of the articles the guy says that the differences between sexes, if any, are small - and wouldn't account for an 80-20 gender bias in google. Skipped past...

I do, however, agree that, from the outside, it looks like an echo-chamber and that Google shouldn't have fired him and, like Gaff said, had the balls to debate things more openly.

"Free movement" doesn't have to be free for everyone, it has always been "free movement of labour" and "labour" is very explicitly defined (e.g. working in exchange for remuneration). The UK has always had the option to restrict migration from the EU only to people who are working, it has chosen to be more flexible. And free movement of labour isn't new, its been part of the EEC since the very beginning.

Your so contradicting yourself. If job or bodhi cha to show links then you chastise hem. But its fine for you to just say a generalised statement withput reference to anything.

I see Gina Miller is considering lraving the UK because of acid attack threats, she says she spends her time in public scanning peoples hands for liquids.
Holy fuck...I would leave myself.

I wouldn't want a couple of "jobseekers" renting one of my rooms either tbh...

I would probably be more polite about it though.

Can you imagine coming home to that pair, sat in their pyjamas in front of your TV every day?

Yes?

You would be OK with going out to work every day, coming home and having that pair sat there watching bargain hunt or whatever?

"Bad back, docs can't find out why" I know why, idle cow, fuck um.

Just been mucking about with my two phone cameras. The camera on my seven year old battered Samsung Galaxy S2 produces way better pix than the camera on my supposedly way advanced Note 4.

Pff.

I bought my dad an iphone. Hated it. He prefers his stone age Nokia with a tiny screen, proper numberpad, and a battery that lasts 2 weeks between charges

To be fair, a Nokia 3210 is demonstratively better than an I-phone.

I have noticed this...looking back.my Note1 makes makes better pictures than the Note3.
Lower res, but handles all the lighting issues far better.
