Its been coming for years. There are even websites decided to abandoned shopping malls. If you create an ecommerce landscape that's structurally cheaper than retail because you don't have to pay sales tax, what do people expect? And yet amazingly the UK spends more per cap online than the US does and still manages to keep retail going, at least in some places. Nation of shopkeepers indeed.
