The difference is permission. If I sign up for LinkedIn I'm giving them a certain amount of access to me, and I pretty much know what I'm signing up for and why (as it happens I usually create standalone email accounts for these type of things). This has no element of permission. Its using a loophole (and a pretty tenuous one at that) to claim its not actually harvesting your email address but inferring it from other "public" data, but its still going to be flogged to spammers, which LinkedIn (and Facebook etc.) don't do.

They've yet to bridge the bbw and midget genre, is that what you're implying? I guess they will have to account for porn user height soon enough, to allow for more streamlined and safe experience all around, not just in your case.
