You should see some of the rancid looking goats they sacrifice using halal methods and eat during certain feasts (Eid Al Fatyr). The issue with Halal and Kosher is that the methods are outdated. Much like the rest of the food bans in Islam/Koran shell fish and pork. Back in the day it was sensible to ban them for health reasons but now. A few of you would be absolutely shocked at the shit I hear from Muslims regarding why they cannot eat pork. One guy told me that muslim scientists had recently discovered that pigs blood was highly poisonous to humans. When I asked to see the published research he pointed to a meeting in Qatar which was discussing the science of the Koran or to put it another way making shit up to give relevance to the book

Today is the 11th day of me not smoking, quit and gone cold turkey. I have come to the conclusion that nicotine replacement stuff is utter bullshit and I would go as far as to suggest it is encouraged by the tobacco industry as a way to make sure people who quit smoking stay well and truly hooked on nicotine and are therefore more likely to go back to tobacco.

Virtually no cravings today, feeling a hell of a lot better already.

I agree about "aids" that help you quit smoking. I have a friend who went to the doctor for help to stop smoking and the doc gave him gum, patches, a nicotine puffer thing... the works. Saw him 3 days later and he was back smoking. "I still wanted a cigarette". Well, durrrr.

If people want to quit and think that Nicotine Replacement will get them through it, good luck to them. But at the end of the day it's a choice: Stick that fag in your mouth and light it, or don't.
As choices go mind you, it fucking sucks cos there are still times even now when I quite fancy a cigarette. I still consider myself "a smoker" I suppose, I just happen not to have had a cigarette for 7 years.

Good luck with quitting. It's not easy, but let's be honest it's a good idea.

Hmm hmm hmm. Trying to think of what to do since i gotta move at the end of month.

A: Go into a house with 2-3 other people, own room in a large house, paid electricity/internet etc. Totally depends on the RNGesus who i get as roomies at that point really. Might be psychos, might be nymphos.
B: Go into a "hotel type" room with a monthly rent, just me and a computer and store the rest of my stuff. Codelocked rooms and shared bathroom/etc with other podpeople...podpeople... same as above, all extras included.<--more private then A, but also very clinical and the room is all i get.
C: Pay a lot more to get an apartment, get electricity,internet, etc stuff sorted.

More leaning towards podpeople living(it's kinda like dormstuff i guess), atleast that way i get my own private wankplace, though by tolerating 2-3 other people i get to live in a house.

Option C is a bit meh as i'll be moving again later this year and i'd be really skint, living on ramen and my own pee.
