Whilst it is slightly annoying (they ruin my weekend mornings because they come out in droves ) cyclists have every right to use the road. Most cyclists have their head screwed on and are quite aware of how to be safe, of course, same with anything really, a small minority give the rest a bad reputation.

Horses however, I personally think should not be on the road any more, there's far too many cars on the road for a big uncontrollable animal to suddenly get spooked and non-suspecting 13yo girl to not have control.

I hate driving and I always have. It is a means to an ends. And having seen someone killed by a car at a zebra crossing it has never been lost on me just how dangerous they are. So I like to drive taking a certain amount of care. Which is why Cyclists give me the arsehole. I could easily drive past them leaving very little room and just say fuck them, but I like to leave plenty of room so I sometimes have to wait for a gap. This pisses me off. Yes I am an impatient sod.

And maybe driving slowly around cyclists does make me a crap driver that is not for me to say. But In central London when you are waiting to turn left and Cyclist still just carry on down the inside going straight then you have one coming down the right too there is just a lot more going on than if they were in cars which tend to be stuck behind you or in a different lane so you do not need to worry. I have never struggled to move my car around a cyclist either I just said with the way they can and do nip between traffic they require more attention than other traffic, even more so when an accident no matter who is at fault could result in a dead cyclist the do require and deserve extra attention. And that is the only reason Cyclist on the road piss ME off.

You are blatantly using the stats that suit your argument.

My argument was about the harm cyclists cause - and 0.001% of all traffic deaths shows it's "fuck" and "all". That's not "selective" argument - that's a winning argument.

You're changing the goalposts to something else, is all. So I'll entertain you on that too:

And cyclists scrape cars and fuck off all the damn time.

I never have, and it's never happened to me. But either way - that would be just like cars do - which has happened to me multiple times.

And how would requiring insurance help with that anyway?

So, no real harm done by cyclists. And no worse in scrapes/bangs that go unreported anyway...

Stop fucking talking about bikes and cyclists in this thread. Jesus the fuck Christ.

Anyway, this guy killed himself but not before making a website detailing everything. There's nothing nasty but some of it makes for fascinating reading.

I'd go with most of what you say, Tom, but this:
Housing estates with individual parking provision would have no on-street parking.
...nah :)

Third-party insurance would be paid for by the state; no more uninsured drivers, anywhere.
This is the only thing that Australia do better than us.

I enjoy driving my car but I do so out of necessity. We really need to put an end to lazy fuckers driving 2 miles to work and back each day.

If you live 2 miles from work and don't walk there's something wrong with you. A 25 minute "commute" on foot? Win!

Using the road is a privilege only if you do so with a motorised vehicle. For everyone else, using the road is a common law right that cannot ever be revoked, except by imprisonment.

Only as pedestrians - cycling isnt covered.

I know the question you are asking. "Why did you want to die? ... or Why didn't you want to live?" Here is the answer. I didn't want to die. If I could have waved a magic wand and lived for 200 years, I would have. Unfortunately, that's not an option. Therefore, since death is inevitable, the better question is... do I want to live as long as humanly possible OR do I want to control the time and manner and circumstances of my death? That was my choice (and yours). I chose what was most appealing to me.

An interesting read for a bored Friday at work.

No, you are incorrect. Bicycles are not motorised vehicles and their users cannot be banned from the road. Cyclists have a right to the road that motorists do not have (motorists have an entitlement granted by licence, which can be revoked).

Never have I laughed so hard at a video containing raging teens. Sums up the console COD community in a single video.
