I texted a mate a couple of days ago to get a contact name for someone he knows at PayPal. 20 minutes after he's texted me her name, the "people you might now" feature on LinkedIn is suddenly displaying her name - not on my phone, on my desktop. I hate that shit.

a mate was recently talking about using that to leverage stores giving him discounts : he'd talk about product X for a while, then fill a shopping cart somewhere with the product but not complete the buy. 9 times out of 10 the store would then contact him directly with discounts.

What do you mean acting up? I was just having a conversation with somebody and it flashed up a dialogue accusing me of being a fake account, logging me out and then throwing that "identify your friends in this vague picture of a cat" bollocks.
