This raises a serious question. Are you allowed to eat your easter eggs before easter has officially started?

The two large chocolate egg shaped objects currently sitting on my desk tempting me have nothing to do with my enquiry ... no sir.

Luckily they have jellyfilled choccie bars in stores here, so technically i'm not breaking any rules.

On your enquiry though, shouldn't you make sure that the samples on your desk are fit to consume, taste and quality wise, before purchasing larger quantities?

I started on a hand decorated white chocolate with strawberry pieces one last night due to lack of interesting snacks until Ocado arrive today - very nice - I'm sure the Pagans would forgive me.

Easter is not like Christmas. I think you are allowed to eat them anytime you like!
Besides its very cold out and the central heating is going to melt them all so you may as well just eat them!

Getting days off work is cool and all but I'm not that in to chocolate. I wish there was a holiday which was associated with eating crisps.

There must be a thread about i phones somewhere but I can't find it. Someone forwarded me an e mail with photos in it. I opened it on my i phone. Now the photos are magically with the ones I've taken on the phone. How? Why? Bizarre?

Fun times. Imagine those photos were loaded with some exploit - apple would have kindly loaded them automatically onto your phone! Happy days.

Leaving to go to a "managing dynamics implementations" exam in about a half an hour.. This is going to be fun. Spent the last few months knee deep (tee-hee) in methodology stuff and been using it in recent projects too... Also, if I pass I'm going to Paris on Monday... If I don't pass, still going to Paris on Monday.

Top tip. If it's Microsoft Dynamics the implementation should be as follows. You laugh at the client for picking such a backward system, until it hurts. Then walk away.

Why is it with Amazon you don't need to enter you online bank password and verification code when you buy something? You just click buy and that's it. If someone has my amazon account password could they buy a load of stuff?

Yes but they could only send it to one of the addresses you have stored. If they create a new address then they have to verify your payment details.

Yeap. With no verification(for easy buying) that indeed is the case.

Yes. Basically Amazon have decided that the benefits of "frictionless" buying (e.g. OneClick) outweigh the costs of chargebacks etc. so Amazon don't bother with taking CVV numbers or adding other security layers like 3D Secure. All that stuff is recommended by the Merchants as best practice but you don't have to do it, but if you don't you (e.g. Amazon) take all the risk. Most retailers don't want to take the risk so they pretty much all add CVV, but take-up of 3D Secure is much patchier; personally on the occasions I've implemented it its been disastrous for sales conversion (and that's pretty much the experience of every retailer) so we only use it for gift cards, because its the only place the cost/benefit stacks up for us.

Interesting. Makes sense though - especially for a site like amazon that sells lots of relatively low value items.

If they can't change the address it's not much use to a potential fraudster I guess.
