It's almost as if Bloodomen has taken things posted in other threads recently and reposted them here.... no, wait, that is exactly what he has done.

Yeah, I bet he has every thread open while hitting F5 just so he can re-post stuff.

This is incredible. Now we just need room-temperature superconducters and its hovercars for everybody!

That's hardly new, the effect has been know since the 1930's. Maglev trains have been using this technology for decades.

Still, I completely agree about the room temperature superconductors :D They'd be world changing if we ever create them. However I expect we have a long wait. High-temperature superconductivity, high as in liquid nitrogen temperatures, was discovered 25 years ago and despite it being the greatest puzzle in condensed matter physics with the greatest minds working on the problem we still have no idea how they work! Guaranteed Nobel Prize for whomever works out the theory of that stuff.

Apparently its not quite the same as the Meissner Effect that helps give us Maglev trains; the "locking" part is something new. And that's about it for my physics knowledge...

Nice. I have more luck with the lottery than scratch cards. Never seem to get anything on them.

friend of mine once parked his bike outside a shop, bought a scratch ticket, won £100, came out and the bike was gone..
