List of 100 well known guitarists more like. 'The Edge' isn't even a 'good' guitarist comparatively to many others and neither was Cobain. What a load of dross.

What I will give credit to The Edge is that he's a bit of a genius with his effects, almost like a Jean Michelle Jamjar of the guitar world. He does get some cracking sounds out of it, but turn those pedals off and it's pretty basic.

Absolutely, so much soul, passion and emotion oozes out of his guitar playing. It may be slightly rough around the edge, but that makes is even better for me.

I ment he should be way higher up there. Unless it's not a countdown or something. Anyways Neil Young should be definately in there, if alone of "Cowgirl in the Sand."

Joe Satriani - Always With Me, Always With You (Live 2006) - YouTube

Thin Lizzy-Whiskey in the jar - YouTube

Bootsy Collins should be in there just for making the music that goes with the old knight rider. Funkadelic, hell yeah.

Prince is awesome, but that was the musical equivalent of a bunch of old men sitting around wanking over George Harrison. Then again, I can't be such blatant self appreciation and I'm surprised Prince stooped so low :p.
