Using skills learned from games is not a new thing, everyone transfers something from every experience in life. It's actually helpful at times too, for example minecraft could help you figure out proportions of objects, or distance to stuff.

Saarching for a search button...had to stop and think about that a bit...is a bit extreme though. Might need a break from gaming if you start looking for ingame aid in real life.

"or going for the stab button if someone is in your way. ", that is a deffo sign you need to stop for a wee bit.

I play a lot of Fifa 11 to the point where it really annoys my girlfriend. It's having an effect on when I play football in real life. Every time I get on the pitch I think I'm Lionel Messi when actually I'm a bit rubbish. In the game it's really easy to do tricks and skills but then you try and do it in real life. It's not quite the same.

Boys cagefighting? Sky has it's panties in a real twist about this... even if it's not cagefighting, it's mixed martial arts. It's obviously not the right environment (an adult audience) but there was no striking it was just holds and stuff. Don't have a problem with the principle tbh, it's no worse than what I remember from watching various martial arts events at school. Just maybe don't put 2 boys in the ring at an all adult event, do it at a school or something.
