Had the same thing happen to my comfy leather chair a few weeks back. A loud crack and it tilted sideways.

My old office used to have them, they are very good chairs but that's a stupid price to pay. You can pick up some really good non-branded 24h-rated chairs for a fraction of that price.

Nope that is the chair I am getting when it goes on sale again for £89! Have actually sat on one though and it is very comfy on the old bum cheeks and back.
