How is the leaking water not a bigger scandal in the UK? These companies had these issues for decades and haven't bothered investing in fixing the issues and yet are pushing people to limit usage and upping charges

I chose the hottest day of the year (because I'm a frikkin' genius) to lay a new patio. I'm 96 slabs in and have to finish maybe another 30 tomorrow. I'm broken.

Dismantled a living room chair that we are getting rid of, found £5.20 in it.

I've significantly reduced the amount of meat I consume now. I still eat it, like when I'm at a hotel I'll have egg+bacon+sausage for breakfast as a treat, but at home - I'm pretty much limited to chorizo slices, maybe some ham, and nothing else.

I really can't wait for the day when they can just print/grow it in a vat and do away with most animal farming.

I eat it because I like it, my "carbon footprint" is tiny through other things.

People could stop flying, stop driving everywhere, stop working hours away from where they live, stop driving their special little twats to school and back etc etc

aaand, stop buying shit they don't need.

I'm OK for people to eat it. I do myself. But if we continue to run this economic system I'd like to see it priced relative to it's impacts.

In fact - all goods should be priced relative to impact.

I'm not a big fan of beef. I mean a good steak is nice but I wouldn't miss it

My curry on Saturday night wasn't even chicken. It was chickpeas and lentils.

Cooking and eating a steak large enough to feed a family, over an open fire, is part of my religion.

I don't mind that. It's nice. Other things are also nice so I'm not that bothered.

I'm waiting for someone to tell me that cheese has a large environmental impact. Then I'm out. Cheese vs world. Cheese wins.

so basically "Stop eating because the billionaires want to keep using their toys!"
It's not an either/or - it has to be a both.

But we won't do it. Sucks for people who've had kids I guess.

Lets face it, mankind won't change and they won't really accept climate change until the ocean has started to knock on their front door. It's a shitty future we're leaving to the next generation, sadly all the cunts with power are to blame because they love money too much. Humanities only hope is to colonise a new world like Earth.

Or as bluntly as Bill Gates put it - 2-3billion people need to die

Slightly concerned. An Apache gunship just flew over my house.
