I mean we could go back to the 40s and not have to rely on technology anymore, flying was much safer back then.

I guess it's two questions. 1) Complexity and 2) Autonomy.

If the software is getting so complex then this is bound to happen. If we want human pilots to have autonomy then we have to be able to let them override the software.

Or we have automatic airplanes, and no pilots...

What's the difference if you crash tail first from stalling and nose first from trying to pick up speed so you don't stall?

The software didn't cause the crash - you're angry because it shows the software taking control away from people. But it was gonna crash anyway.
The software quite clearly caused the
Crash because it had no way of sorting the problem when one of the sensors went array.
That should have been the core of the code and if all else fails it should maintain height until a landing procedure

That plane flew itself into the ground using its own flight software.
They are doing press releases looking to regain trust.
That would have to include firing the entire coding team.
Just un fucking believable.

Looks like the software thought it was going into a stall, and was trying to maintain height (by increasing speed through diving).

I don't think the coding team's at fault. The testing team, quite possibly.

Unfortunately the testing team and all their passengers are dead

As morbid as @Job post is it seems he is correct in many ways, lessons from Airbus crashes a few years ago when they implemented a similar system have not been learnt, they knew plane was different enough to require pilot re-training but campaigned hard to avoid it and now people are dead so their profit margin could grow a bit

Problem is that without the software, the 737Max (and most Airbuses) are unflyable anyway; they are inherently unstable, like fighter jets.

Im reading on aircraft forums that the 737 was fitted with different engines from the original spec and they just adjusted the software to allow for the different weight distribution.
I dont know if this is true or some conspiracy theory.

No conspiracy, engines were heavier, so plane would tilt up more than usual. Software compensated for this, but pilots don't know about it.

Maybe thats normal, but a lot of people are blaming it for increased unstability of the plane.

When I say people, Im talking aviation enthusiasts

Russia will do anything and use any groups to do it, it isn't something new.

A mysterious document that says 'we have a controlled MP'.
I mean really

I'm fairly sure if a single mysterious document that came out attacking Labour/Democrats you'd get your spunk all over it before anyones had a chance to read it.

"This document is written in occasionally faulty English, and is entitled: "Frohnmaier election campaign/action plan (draft)""

"t is not clear whether the Kremlin acted on the recommendations in the document, and there is no evidence that Russia provided any "material support" to Mr Frohnmaier's campaign."

Complaints noted.

They said at the beginning it was sponsored by Canyon.

Yeah. It's just they also said they were coming down two different ways, which was bunkum...

Pretty photography tho.
