Anyway, thought I'd give it a trim with some hairdresser scissors my Mrs has (no, this isn't leading to me putting on her clothes and calling myself Gloria. I'm far too tall to put her dresses on.)

A scissors trim gave a really pleasing cut compared to the beard trimmer. But really slow, and you do risk losing an ear lobe if you get a bit carried away.
