Lattes are 95% milk. Every coffee shop I've ever seen uses supermarket-sized bottles of milk. And supermarkets probably make next to no profit on milk alone.

Anyway, who cares? Complaining about the price of a product after you've paid, when the price is very clearly displayed well before you order, is silly.
Think he said he didnt buy it and went back to the office and made himself a cuppa.

Coffee is the new smoking...people join queues 40 long, soend their entire breaks waiting to pay 3 quid for a drink that is basically a 400 calorie, sugar mush loaded with caffeine.
Then they add another 50 calories of syrup, flavourings.
The top Starbucks 'coffeee' is 900 calories ffs.

However, in the real world and not the made up pish world that Job lives in, my work have brought in an app that allows me to order my coffee 'online' and pick it up within 10 minutes. I get a notification when it's ready. Also, if you drink actual coffee only, the calories are minimal.

coffee that has been anywhere near sugar and half a pint of milk is no longer a coffee. It is a milkshake. Only complete cock knockers drink that shit. They usually work in marketing.

Are you offended?

No, not sure where you got that from.

Amused by the absurdity of the whole thing though. Everyone is so busy trying not to offend a tiny little group that they are completely missing the bigger picture.

Strictly speaking a man could "identify as a women" and enter into a civil partnership with a women. But a man identifying as a man can't.

The whole thing is cringingly stupid and seems to only ever change due to some wave of hypocritical outrage on twitter.

It seems really odd to me that they didn't make civil partnerships open to all when they brought it in. They must have known someone would pick up on this; it was only 2006 ffs. Having said that, the difference between civil partnership and registry office marriage seems pretty arbitrary; as far as I can see the only difference is you can't cite adultery as a reason for ending a civil partnership.

Yeah I don't get it either but if you are going to go to all the trouble to be inclusive, just say "Everyone" not an ever growing list of "types"

There wouldn't be nearly as much persevered discrimination if people weren't so desperate to be different, or unique.

It seems to be very much a modern thing too, in the last 10 years or so, that people need to manufacture a personality to try and appear interesting. I guess its the same with all the faux outrage, people think they need to tell everyone that they are offended by something or they might not get any attention.

And most people dont, they go for the full fat versions...oh look at you with your app.
All those queues must be people without a signal.

One of the arguments against gay marriage was 'it will be inter species next'.
I'm pretty sure that one is only a few years away.

Any stats to back that up? The only reference I can find is from Starbucks who say their most popular drink is a tall latte, which is 150 calories if you get the regular version (I don't, personally). I doubt other chains would be any different tbh.

That isn't an argument, it is a random soundbite from a fuckwit.

I'm on holiday here..but the list is long, all the major civilisations were on a dip , white people stepped in and invented the core of modern living.
The car..internal combustion..tv..radio..electric motor..jet engine..steam engine..train..inter planetary rocketry..transistor..electronic calculator..atom bomb..fission..fusion...the list is huge and you can obviously add in later days the fact that now the knowledge is spread, but almost entirely china and indias technological might is because we taught them..the Japanese themselves had rudimentary science before Europeans shared their knowledge.

standing on the shoulders of giants then. also, while you may think your conclusion is correct, your measurement is flawed. if I throw toys at my grey cat and my tortoise cat and for 10 minutes the tortoise gets all the toys, does that mean tortoise cats are superior to grey cats? what if the grey cat got all the toys for an hour beforehand and is now tired?

On Mike Rowe's facebook just now I read this: "Just don’t assume that people will care about your beliefs, if you’re not willing to back them up with some relevant facts and a rational conclusion."

Office Running Dude: *talking sounds which sounds like a question*
Me: *notice he is talking to me and I take off noise cancelling headphones and reply..*
"Yes?"
Office Running Dude: "Perfect! I'll tell the others"
Me: *dafuq? Reapply headphones *

What he said:
Office Running Dude: "Eyy CorN, you wanna run the 5k relay with some of the other Office Running Dudes on Monday? We're a guy short"

I accidentally signed up for a 5k run on Monday for work.. Just had a quick go at it; 2.5k in 14.46. I'm really not the running type of guy. 100kg and almost 2metres tall. Give me a bike and I'll do 80k no problem, but I'm not build for running.
